Ladehoff makes it two in a Row

MARSHALLTOWN, IOWA (July 9) - Brett Ladehoff and Richie Gustin kept fans on the edge of their seat during Friday night’s 20 lap feature event for the Meskwaki Casino Hotel Modifieds.  Ladehoff and Gustin exchanged the lead 5 times in the last 6 laps at the finish line with Ladehoff coming out on top at the end.  Gustin came home in 2^nd, Jimmy Gustin 3^rd and Jon Snyder 4^th.  Heat race winners were Richie Gustin, Joel Bushore and Daniel Hilsabeck.

Colby Oberembt led the first lap of the O’Rielly Auto parts ModLite feature event.  Dusty Masolini then led until lap 8 and eventual winner Josh May made his move on lap 9 for the win.  The yellow flag flew on laps 2,4,11 and 12 during the feature.  Tim Hennigar finished 2^nd, Masolini 3^rd and Mike Kennedy 4^th.  Eric Hendrickson, Jeff Stensland and Josh May were each heat race winners

The Big 8 Tyre Center SportMod feature event took a while to get going, but the racing was amazing as Nick Roberts paced the field for the first 9 laps, in hunt of his first career Marshalltown Speedway win.  Scott Davis passed with 5 laps left and didn’t look back to make it 2 weeks in a row with a win.  Roberts finish 2^nd, Jason Severance 3^rd and Eric Flander 4^th.  Heat race winners were Dylan Book, Curt Hilmer, Jenae Gustin and Gaitlin Leytham.

Dustin Smith made another visit to victory lane in the stock car feature after having to start 14^th.  Rookie John Emerson led the first 3 laps and then Steve Meyer led laps 4 to 15 and then Smith made his move for the lead with 2 to go.  Meyer finished 2^nd, Trent Murphy 3^rd and Rick Brown 4^th.  Heat race winners were Trevor Titus and Tommy Thompson.

In the Junction Bar and Grill Hobby Stocks, Devin Smith visited victory lane once again to add onto his points lead.  Vince Bucholz led the first 10 laps but a late caution on lap 8 allowed Smtih to close the gap.  Bucholz ended up 2^nd, Dustin Filloon 3^rd and Todd Reitzler 4^th.  Heat race winners were Mike Vibbard, Dustin Filloon, Vince Bucholz and Josh Saunders.
