Track Schedules

MEMPHIS, MO (April 21) - Mother nature hasn't been to kind to the Scotland County Speedway so far in 2008. All the rain over the past few weeks has forced the Scotland County Fairboard and the race committee to make some changes to the 2008 schedule.

Late last year, a storm came through the fairgrounds knocking down light poles in the pits, destroying the pit shack and some other items. With all the rain the past few weeks the grounds have been to wet to get alot of work needed to hold opening night.

Last Saturday, April 19th was suppose to be a open practice day, but rains on Friday and Saturday morning canceled that scheduled event. Thus everything has been pushed back one week. Now this Saturday, April 26th from 1-4 pm will be an open practice day, with the pit gates opening at 12 pm and pit passes set at $10. If mother nature forces this practice day to be called off, Sunday, April 27th from 1-4 pm will be a make-up date for the open practice.

Which mean the opening night of racing had been moved back to May 3rd, with Gas and More of Memphis being the sponsor. The final change to the schedule is the pit stop on August 2nd will now be a weekly points race night.

Pit gates on May 3rd will open at 4:30pm, grandstands at 5pm, draw cut-off will be 6:15pm, drivers meeting at 6:30 and hot laps following, with racing starting a 7pm sharp. Adult grandstand admission will be $8, students (11-15) and Seniors (62+) $6, with kids 10 and under admitted for Free!
