Scotland County Speedway Will Try to Open It's 2008 Season Again This Saturday

MEMPHIS, MO (May 8) - Mother nature once again forced the Scotland County Speedway season opener to be pushed back another week. This Saturday, May 10th will be the third attempt to get the 2008 season started in Memphis.

The Scotland County Lanes and Memphis Democrat are this weeks opening night sponsors, along with it being a Mother's Day special grandstand admission. A special $5 grandstand admission for all women in honor of the Mother Day Weekend.

Racing action will take place in the Modifieds, Stock Cars, B-Modifieds, Hobby Stocks and Hornets. Drivers can help save time by logging on to www.midwestracingnews.net and printing out the 2008 Scotland County Speedway Registration Form on the front page. Then take the time to fill it out before getting to the track on Saturday.

Pit gates will open at 4:30pm, grandstands at 5pm, drivers draw cut-off will be 6:15pm, drivers meeting set at 6:30pm with hot laps to follow and racing at 7pm sharp. Grandstand admission will be adults $8, students (11-15) and seniors (62+) $6, with the exception of all women $5, and kids 10 and under FREE! Pit passes will be $20.
