IMCA Sprint Car tour opens Friday at Jackson

JACKSON, Minn. (May 7) – IMCA KSE Racing Products Sprint Cars following the Jackpot Junction Tour see their first green flag of the 2008 series on Friday, May 9 at Jackson Speedway.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 7 p.m. and racing follows in the earliest opening night in the series’ 12-year history.

Pit passes are $25. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and $7 for kids ages 6-12. Five and under are admitted free.

Two previous tour events have been held at Jackson. Chris Graf of Glencoe was the winner there in 2006 while Curt Lund of Redwood Falls topped the 2007 race.

IMCA Sprints make a second series appearance at Jackson in August, during the Jackson Nationals. Eleven dates now comprise the schedule for this season. All features pay a minimum of $600 to win, based on 16-car fields.
