Larry McReynolds added to “Night of Victory”
by: Rachel Twait Dean

SPIRIT LAKE, IA (August 20, 2008) - The 2008 “Night of Victory” is excited to announce that Larry McReynolds, one of NASCAR's most successful and recognized crew chiefs and current Fox Sports broadcaster will be attending this year’s festivities to raise money for the Victory Junction Gang Camp. The “Night of Victory” will be held at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn. on Wednesday, September 17, 2008.

McReynolds’s NASCAR career began in 1975. He worked his way up the ladder and took his first crew chief job in 1985. His first win as a crew chief was in 1988 at Watkins Glen with Ricky Rudd as the driver. After joining Richard Childress Racing in 1997, McReynolds helped NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt earn the one missing jewel of his champion's crown - the 1998 Daytona 500! He has enjoyed 23 victories, 21 pole positions, 122 Top 5 finishes and 209 Top 10
finishes in 457 starts!

McReynolds’s current television roles are as Analyst for the Sprint Cup Series races with FOX Sports during the first half of the race season, Turner Broadcast for six races, and at select events he will be a part of the broadcast team for the DIRECTV HotPass program. His great talent has lead to more opportunities behind the mic with Speed Channel where he commentates weekly broadcasts of Cup and Nationwide Qualifying, the Trackside Live Show and NASCAR
Performance. In addition McReynolds co-hosts a live radio show every Wednesday night on MRN radio, NASCAR Performance Live! He is a founding member of The Crew Chief Club where he makes several public speaking engagements as well as product endorsement.

McReynolds joins the announcer booth as Kevin Harvick and Landon Cassill will be racing a 20lap shoot-out with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) and other modified drivers at the track that evening to kick-off the Featherlite Fall Jamboree at Deer Creek that weekend.

Tickets are on sale now and are available at Deer Creek Speedway, or can be ordered by calling 712-339-9064 or visiting www.nightofvictory.com  or www.deercreekspeedway.com . There are three different ticket levels: VIP Meet and Greet= $60; PitPass for that evening $20 and Grandstand for $10. Please visit the websites to see what’s included in each level.

If you’re a company and would like to participate in this event, please contact Rachel as well. You don’t have to be a NASCAR fan to have a great time at this event! We hope you will attend and support this great charity!
