Mike Savage of Annapolis picked up his first Pure Street feature win of the season Saturday night

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (August 12, 2006) Mike Savage of Annapolis picked up his first Pure Street feature win of the season Saturday night and it just happened to occur during the class' biggest payout of the year, $1,000. Savage was able to hold off point leader Michael Abney of Belgrade for the victory with Chris Boyd of Park Hills third, Tommy Worley Sr. of Farmington fourth and Bill Skaggs of Bismarck fifth. They were followed by Steve Carter, Doug Savage, Danny Ems, Keith Kennon and Eric Sarakas.

Kennon won the first heat race with Savage second and Paul Warren third. Abney won the second heat with Carter second and John Bohn third. Boyd won the third heat with Worley second and Brian Henson third.

There will be another $1,000 to win Pure Street event at SFCR on Saturday, August 26th when the track hosts the Driver's Seat 25.

In the Sprints, Tommy Worley Jr. of Farmington continued his outstanding season in the seat of the #97 as he captured his sixth feature of the season at SFCR. Joey Montgomery of Fredericktown settled for second place with Timmy Montgomery of Fredericktown third, Steve Short of Farmington fourth and Bob Thoman of Higginsville fifth. They were followed by Jimmy Hurley, Bryan Matthews, Robbie Standridge, A.J. Bruns and Tom Dickerman.

Bruns won the first heat race with Thoman second and Jason Hunt third. Worley Jr. won the second heat with Standridge second and Joey Montgomery third. Short won the third heat with Tim Montgomery second and Hurley third. Tim Montgomery won the trophy dash with Standridge second and Worley third. Matthews won the "B" main with Brett Samonds second and Jimmy Brayton Jr. third.

In the Modified class feature, Jeremy Greenwalt of Potosi picked up his second feature checkered flag of the season with Brent Thompson of Farmington second, Kasey Nations of Park Hills third, Billy Smith of Park Hills fourth and Doug DeClue of Desloge fifth. They were followed by Chris Boyd, Matt Eaton, Kenny Harris, Kenny Kennedy and Derek Shipman.

Nations won the first heat race with Shannon Blair second and Thompson third. Greenwalt won the second heat with DeClue second and Shipman third. Randy Forster won the third heat with Matt Eaton second and Harris third.

In the 600cc Multi class, Jimmy Stearns of Makanda, Il. returned to victory lane in the feature with Jimmy Bridgeman of Farmington second, Derek King of Vienna, Il. third, Brad Greer of Coulterville, Il. fourth and Ryan Kempin of Catawissa fifth. They were followed by Bobby Lynn, Rodney Williams, Jason McBride, Mark Shirshekan and Joey Boyd.

King won the first heat race with Stearns second and Lynn third. Kempin won the second heat with Bridgeman second and Greer third.
