Lebanon Midway Puts Final Touches On Schedule

Lebanon, Mo (March 4, 2006) - The staff at the Lebanon Midway Speedway have put some of the final touches on the 2006 racing schedule with action for all involved including the fans and family.

The track will host 2 practice sessions for racecars on Sat. March 25th with practice to start at 1PM till about 5:00 PM with the gates opening at Noon. Also a Friday Night practice session with the gates opening at 5PM with Action on the track starting at 7:30 till around 9PM on March 31st.These practices will be free to the grandstands and have a limited concessions open. Pit passes will be $10 for the practice sessions. A larger pit area will greet the drivers this season and alittle different layout of the track alos will meet the racers.

The season will start on Friday night April 7th and Sat April 8th with the second annual Modified Madness paying $6,000 to win and $600 to start the 26 car field. Last season over 50 Modifieds took to the Midway in this event with the best in the Midwest going head to head as IL. driver Chad Kinder took the lead from Sean Williams to grab the first place prize as 16 of the 26 starters finished on the lead lap. Friday Night's action will have Qualifying heats, pole dash and a 25 lap Qualifying event along with a full show for the Bombers and Sat Night will feature Winged Sprints a full show. Rain date is set for Sat Night April 15th

Points battles begin on Friday Night April 14 for all 6 classes including a Easter Egg Hunt for the kids 10 and under at intermission.

This season the Speedway will also host the 1st annual Fast Factory 50 with $5,000 to the winner and $500 to start on April 21st and 22nd.Friday Action will feature Bombers as they will receive bonus points to race that night along with extra money and Sat Night action will be the Fastrak Mid West Regional Late Models. This event will feature the MidWest stars challenging the Local Lowes Chevrolet Fastrak Late Models with $1200 going to the winner with 200 to start. Rain date for this event will be Sat Night April 29th.

Other events this 2006 season will include a Special Visit from NASCAR Busch Driver Kenny Wallace as Kenny will be racing his St Louis Cardinals/Impressive Racecars Modifieds against the area hard chargers for $1000 to win on June 8th.also that evening the Battle of Spec cars as the Show-Me Racin Series Late Models will battle the Lowes Chevrolet Fastrak Late Models with the winner receiving 750 to win with the track paying 125-150 to start and Bombers will be racing also that night. An autograph session will be scheduled early in the evening as Racing on this Thursday Night Thunder Event will start at 8PM.
Memorial Weekend action will see the 1st ever Missouri Triple Crown Weekend as on Friday Night May 26th-The Fastrak Late Models will be racing for $2000 to win and pay $200 to start the event as Fastrak MidWest will sanction this event.
June 16th the Thunder of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Super Late Models will invade the Midway for there only appearance of 2006 as Al purkey and Alan Vaughn both captured wins last season at the Midway.

The track will also feature the popular Fireworks Spectacular on Friday Night June 30th with a wonderful Fireworks show during intermission,3 kids nights were the 10 and under bracket get to shine before the family and friends,. 5 Enduro Races on Friday Nights this season with a little different format on payoff to help everyone,2 powder puff races, and 3 double point nights along with the 2nd Annual Winged Sprint Car Challenge on July 14th.

Sat special events will feature 2 visits from the National Flattrack Motorcycle Series also featuring 4-wheelers and visits from the Mid-Mo Truck and tractor pulling Association and the Southern Missouri Truck and Tractor pulls.

The Season Champions will be crowned on Sept.15th and the popular season ending Coa-Cola Fall Brawl as over $45,000 in purse money was distributed last season with record crowds and car counts in the pits on Sept.22nd and 23rd.
