Grand River Speedway Drivers to be Awarded

CLINTON, MO. (Jan. 25, 2007) - Being driven by his parents from Springfield, Mo 
on Saturday, to the Delozier Building on the square in Clinton, a 10 year old 
race car driver will celebrate a dirt track Championship! Devon Huff drove his 
600cc Micro Midget in several Urich, Mo, based, GRS promoted events and earned 
the most points in that division. There, Devon and four other 2006 Missouri 
area, GRS Champions may recieve a phone call from Daytona, Fla!
Eyes from a NASCAR team will be present at the GRS Awards Banquet. Edward 
Collins of Braun Racing and Fan 1st will be presenting some of the awards and 
talking sponsorships! Weather permitting, a Braun Racing, NASCAR Busch 2007 
Series Stock Car may be on display near Clinton's historic Anheiser Busch 
Building, next door!
Dakota Singmaster, 13, will have his eyes on the next step after his GRS 
Championship. "The Driving School" a Dirt Works Race Cars affilliated, Texas 
based operation, will be "setting up Summer camp" at Grand River Speedway in 
Urich, Mo. At the banquet, Dakota's peers, the other GRS driver's will decide, 
who among them, should recieve a gift certificate to the school. A new crop of 
2007 GRS drivers will also be eligible for one of the school's cetificates.
The peers, the other 15 drivers to be honored are, Mike Scott of Blairstown, Mo, 
Kyle Shaw of Drexel, Wes Briggs of Lebanon, Rick Leigh and Joe Hemphill, 
Cleveland, Mo. From Independence, Champion Jerry Schmidt and from Raymore, 
Curtis Morrison and Champion Al Guthrie shall rise to the occasion. Coming in 
from Oklahoma and Kansas are "Boston Bill" LaCasse and Dave "Scooby Doo" 
Edwards! Also recieving awards are Missouri drivers, Randy Grimmett and 
Champion, Jeremy McConville. Matt Marrant, Wade Sherman and Mick Brown will take 
the podium as well!
GRS will be involved in "Motor Madness" next weekend, an indoor racing event in 
Springfield, Mo. The two day Outlaw Sprint Kart race also features celebrity 
drivers, flat track motorcycles and Hillbilly Lawnmower racing at the Ozark 
Empire Fairgrounds. Final 2006 points finishers for the GRS Fall series are at 
www.grandriverspeedway.net . The Springfield event kicks off the 2007 season 
with some area racetracks opening in Feb. and March!
