I-70 Speedway Asphalt Opener Now a Day Race

ODESSA, MO (April 12, 2007) - With all the liquid sun shine and lingering cool temperatures provided by Mother Nature, officials at I-70 Speedway have moved this weekends opening event for the asphalt track from Saturday night to Sunday afternoon. “It has been a while since we’ve had a Sunday afternoon race and we want to get the 2007 race season started”, were the words from I-70 owner, Brad McDonald. “With real sun shine and warmer temperatures predicted for Sunday, I think we will be able to provide our drivers with a good track and our fans with a good show”, added McDonald.

So, the first race on the pavement at I-70 will now be held on Sunday afternoon, April 15th. On the program will be the ASA Late Models, Super Trucks, Super Stocks, Dash Cars and Enduroes. Pit Gate will open at 11:00 am, Admission Gates will open at 1:00 pm with hot laps at 2:00 pm. Racing action will begin promptly at 3:30. Admission for adults (12 & up) is $12.00, children (6 to 11) $5.00 with children 5 and under admitted for free.
