Dwarf Cars/Mod Lites Make First Appearance of 2007 at I-70 Speedway

ODESSA, MO (April 28, 2007) - On a night when we honored our friend, Dean Engle, who suddenly passed on this week, the cars and stars of thee Dwarf Car Racers Association made their first appearance at the Dirt Track at I-70 Speedway.

Fifteen Dwarf and Mod Lite cars, who compete together as one class, checked in and put on a spectacular show for the cross over asphalt fans and the fans of dirt racing. Three five car heats decided the feature line up. “I must applaud this bunch of drivers”, commented Promoter Brad McDonald. “They ran their heat races with on cautions, and ran a 20 lap A Feature with only one yellow flag”. “Our dirt and asphalt fans saw a great show and these guys really hauled the mail, around the dirt track”, McDonald concluded.

Finishing order for the A Feature was: 1. 69B, Justin Buchholz 2. 64, David Raffurty 3. 48B, Brandon Gray 4. 4, Greg Nellis 5. 18, Kelly Bergstrom 6. 641, Michael Raffurty 7. 46, Daryl Kabriel 8. 21, Bud Lee 9. 35, Mile Sedgewick 10. 24, Gary McDaniel 11. 13, Bill Zabel 12. 2, John Sharp 13. 99, Bradley Taylor 14. 75, Rick Raffurty and 15. 98, Jeff Raffurty.

If you missed this event, mark your calendar, the DCRA cars will be back on the dirt, at I-70 Speedway, on June16th.

Next Friday night is “Five Dollar Friday”, all general admission tickets are only $5.00. You will see the IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods and Sport Compacts, competing for local, regional and national IMCA points. And, next Saturday night the featured class on the dirt track will be the Show-Me Vintage Cars. Asphalt and dirt track racing for the price of one ticket, only at I-70 Speedway
