by: Chuck Stowe

ODESSA, MO (May 18, 2007) With Round Four of “Five Dollar Friday” in the books, four new winners have found Victory Lane on the Dirt Track at I-70 Speedway. On an absolutely beautiful night, Brad McDonald and crew prepared a great race track. Fans got their five dollars worth and then some as the IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods and Sport Compacts put on a great show with door to door racing in all of the classes.

The x9 of Brad Whitney was the IMCA Stock Car feature winner. Following Brad to the finish line was; #50 Curtis Morrison, #86 Gary Foxworthy, #97 Travis Taylor, #95 Brian Audette, and #B7 driven by Roger Millward.

In the IMCA SportMods, #93 Rick Gernam was the feature winner followed by; #97 Ron Hartford, #31z Wade Brown, #5 Kevin Jones and #70 David Willey. The #69 of Matt Marrant was unable to make the call for the A feature.

Allen Guthrie driving the #32 Sport Compact was the feature winner, followed by the 62j of Jessica Clemons and the 23 of Vicki Meeker

In the IMCA Modified division, Yancy Shepard in the 22y was first across the finish line, for his fist feature win of the season. Following Yancy was #28s Gene Stigall, #26ss Steven Glenn, #58 Terry Van Trump, #93s Chad Shaw, # 28 John Kampsen, #20t Mike Tanner, #27t Bradley Sheetz and the #12c driven by Merrill Crose

A real crowed pleaser was the first “Farm Truck” race of the season. “Farm Truck Racing” is presented by Caribbean Cowboy Barbeque Sauce which is made right here in Odessa, Mo. These trucks are not race trucks, rather trucks we race and on night number one, the feature winner was the #3 (pronounced thwee) driven by “Smoken” Joe Boxer. Following Joe to the finish line was the #5 of Charles Browm, #11 of Paul Pony and the #0 of Billy Joe Talbert.

Tomorrow night May 19th, the Dirt Track at I-70 Speedway will host the I-70 Speedway Sprint Cars. Hot Laps for the Sprint Cars will start at 8:00 with Racing at 9:00. This is in conjunction with the ASA Late Models, Super Stocks, Enduros and the Super Trucks, on the Asphalt. Hot Laps for the asphalt track begin at 6:00 with racing at 7:30.
