SMRS, MOLS and I-70 Sprint Car Event Moved to Monday

ODESSA, MO (May 27) Heavy rains on Saturday night and early Sunday Morning and the forecast of even heavier rain late Sunday afternoon and into the evening, have forced SMRS Midget officials, Midwest Outlaw Lighting Sprint officials and the officials at i-70 Speedway to cancel the Sunday night event.

The event scheduled for the weekend will now be a one day show on Monday afternoon. With a better forecast on Monday, Pit Gates will open at 12:00, Admission Gates will open at 1:00. Hot Laps will begin at 2:00 with the first Heat Race scheduled for 3:00.

“We have the track packed in a way that we will be able to prepare it for great racing, we just need to wait out the rain”, was the comments from I-70 track owner, Brad McDonald. “The drivers are just happy that Brad is willing to run this weekends rain out on Monday”, commented SMRS Director, John Stewart. And Bob Douglas said, “Our guys will be there on Monday”.

All admission tickets and pit passes from Saturday night will be honored on Monday.

Featured class for the delayed Memorial Day Event will be the SMRS Midgets, Midwest Outlaw Lighting Sprints and the I-70 (no wings allowed) Sprint Cars.
