LEBANON, Mo. (June 8) - After 2 weeks of rainouts, Mother Nature decided to be a no show as racing action got underway Friday night at the Lebanon Midway Speedway with 100 cars checking into a smooth and racy surface.

Action started off with the SuperStocks as Clinton Betts grabbing the early lead with Bennie Joiner and defending champion Ben Newell following.Veteran JC Newell spun while battling for position on lap 3 bringing out the yellow.On the restart,Ben Newell pull beside leader Betts and took over the top spot on lap 4.Back in the pack,Donnie Gennings was charging forward and moved into 3rd place on lap 11 and then grabbed 2nd place the following lap and was putting pressure on Ben Newell while Betts,Bill Scharr and Travis Hill were swapping 3rd place.On the final lap,Gennings pulled beside leader Newell and grabbed his 3rd win of the season with Newell,Hill,early leader Betts and Bill Scharr rounding out the top 5.

The Bombers again showed the crowd great 3 wide action as the field of 22 took the opening green with Lebanon lady driver Jennifer Crouch grabbing the early lead with Wayne Coffman Adam Lowrance,Issac Keeper following closely.Defending champion Shawn Winfrey made a 3 wids pass stick and took over the top spot on lap 3.On lap 4,point leader Mike Piercey began his charge from 11th to move into the top 3 and the battles were all around the track with Winfrey still setting the pace with Crouch right behind him.Winfrey had opened up a 5 car length lead as Piercey moved around Crouch on lap 6 and set his sights on leader Winfrey while great 3 wide action was behind the leaders as Keeper,Coffman,Lowrance and Joe Francis was coming from his 17th starting spot and Jack Hamer was charging from his 20th starting spot.A late caution waved as Keith Cheever and Jennifer Crouch collided in turn 2 bringing out the yellow.With Winfrey still in the lead,Piercey made a low groove move on lap 12 and took over the top spot with Winfrey charging back.Winfrey made several attempts to regain the lead,but it was Piercey keeping his unbeaten feature streak alive at 5 followed by Winfrey,Issac Keeper,Wayne Coffman and Joe Francis at the stripe.

The A-Mods came thundering to the track set for the 20 lap feature with Brian Schutt grabbing the opening lead with 2005 champion Jamie Ragland following close behind.On lap 2,Ragland took to the high-side and looped it bringing out the yellow.On the restart,Schutt powerd away only to find point leader Eric Hudson breaking away from newcomer Steve Martin to battle for the top spot.After a side by sdie battle early,Hudson shot away to grab his second feature win of the season with Steve Martin,early leader Schutt,Ragland, and Craig Wood completing the top 5.

The FactoryStock feature would see a new winner to the Midway as the field of 21 starters took the green Dylan Keepper grabbed the opening lead with Steve Muilenburg and Tim Petty close behind.On lap 3,Muilenburg pulled the StationWagon to the top groove and grabbed the lead from Keepper.Behin our leaders great battles were going on including Ben Solberg,Bobby Ratterree,Glen Dismang swapping spots back and forth.A couple of cautions kept the field bunched-up as Muilenburg was not to be denied even with Keepper closing in late in the race.The final yellow waved on lap 16 as 3rd place running Tim Petty had something break on the car ending his strong run.On the restart,Muilenburg and Keepper kept the battle hot as Solberg,Ratterree and previous winner Lonnie Henderson who started 11th were 3 wide battling for 3rd place.At the finish Muilenburg grabs the win with Keepper,Henderson,Solberg and Ratterree crossing the stripe in that order.

The B-Mods came strong tonight as Troy Young grabbed the opening lead with Tyler Brown right on his bumper.On lap 4,the yellow waved as Brown,Rich Webber and Jamie Petty got together in turn 4.On the restart,Jason Otto pulled along side of Young and grabbed the top spot as Jack Lancaster was charging to battle for position.On lap 10,the yellow waved as veteran Earl Muilenburg,Doug Smith and Jeff Albright Jr all got together.On the final restart,Lancaster,and T.R.Phillips were battling Young for the runner-up spot as leader Otto was long gone.On lap 14,Lancaster took over the runner-up spot while Otto crossed the line taking his 1st win of the season followed by Lancaster,early leader Young,Phillips and Earl Muilenburg at the stripe.

The Winged SprintCar feature had Keith Breedlove jump to the early lead with Rusty Quick and Scott Wedelstadt in tow.2005 champion Eric Todd found the high groove to his liking as he charged from 8th to grab the top spot on lap 3.JP Compton made his pressance known on lap 5 as he moved into the runner-up spot with Scott Wedelstadt holding a solid 3rd place run.While it was all Eric Todd,Compton would try late to close up the gap as Wedelstadt,Joe Todd and Clint Todd along with Rusty Quick were battling for 3rd place.The race would stay Grren with Todd grabbing his 2nd win of the season followed by Compton,Wedelstadt,Joe Todd and Clint Todd at the stripe.

Next week the action will feature the Show-Me Racin Series LateModels along with point races for the A-Mods,B-Mods,Bombers,FactoryStocks and WingedSprints.

Gates will open at 5 with Hotlaps starting at 6:50 and Racing at 8PM.Admission will be $15 for adults while kids prices reamin the same 11-15 $5 and 10 and under Free.
