LEBANON, MO (June 17) - The staff at the Lebanon Midway Speedway are gearing-up
for one of the biggest Late Model events ever in the history of the track on
Monday July 2 as it will present the 1st Annual Larry Phillips Shootout Birthday
Blow Bash with the winner of the MLRA Sanctioned Super Late Model feature

while competing in the 75 lap event.
"As you can see the theme is in honor of the late Dirt Hall Of Famer Larry
Phillips."quoted owner Harold Armstrong.
"They say the 3rd times a charm as the track was scheduled to hold 2 previous
MLRA shows but both got rained-out,so hopefully during this Holiday Week Mother

be competing in a $200 to win event.
This race was set for Larry's Birthday, but another major LateModel event close
in the area fell on top of the date,so Midway Officials felt in the best
interest of both fans and drivers to move the date to Monday Night July 2nd.
"75 laps for the open latemodels on the Midway will be interesting and fun,the
fans will get alot of racing that evening for the admission and the drivers list
continues to create alot of interest."quoted MLRA Owner Alan "Cowboy"
Chancellor."Not only will they see Purkey,Vaughn,Bodenhamer,Terry
Phillips,Jeremy Payne,John Anderson and others that run regular with us,but
Billy Moyer and Billy Moyer Jr.have both expressed interest along with Bill Frye
and many others. We expect a great turnout of drivers that night.
