Lebanon I-44 Speedway Welcomes NASCAR's Schrader, World of Outlaw Late Models Tuesday Night

LEBANON, MO (July 2) NASCAR driver Ken Schrader will compete in a star-studded field of Late Models at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway Tuesday night. He will face stiff competition as he goes against the country's fastest drivers in the World of Outlaw Late Model Series and the Mid-America Racing Series in a $10,000-to-win 50-lap feature Tuesday night at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway.

He will face previous World of Outlaw Late Model winners at Lebanon I-44 Speedway, including Billy Moyer in 1988, Steve Francis in 2005, and most recently Brian Birkhofer in 2006. All three are expected to race alongside Terry Phillips, Bill Frye, Chub Frank, Tim McCreadie, Will Vaught, Brad Looney and Brandon McCormick.

Schrader, a native of Fenton, Missouri, is running a part time NASCAR Nextel Cup Schedule with the Wood Brothers, sharing the ride with rookie Jon Wood, and also driving most of the Craftsman Truck Series races in the #18 Fastenal Dodge for Bobby Hamilton Racing. Schrader raced Saturday in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Race and placed 18th in the 200-lap event. Schrader makes plenty of appearances at dirt tracks throughout the midwest, racing his #99 Red Barron Pizza Late Model. He will race Wednesday night in South Cofferyville, Oklahoma at the Mid-America Speedway, following his appearance in Lebanon.

Jeremy Payne holds the current Late Model lap record at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway. He knocked nearly six-tenths of a second off of the previous record, set by Chub Frank during the 2006 World of Outlaw Late Model appearance at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway. It is entirely possible that Payne's record won't last the night Tuesday once the World of Outlaw Late Model Series hits the high banks of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway.

Race fans, come on out for high speed, high banked World of Outlaw Late Model racing action Tuesday night only at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway. A-Modified and Factory Stock classes will also race. Gates open at 4:30PM, autograph session with Ken Schrader begins at 5:30PM, and racing starts at 7:30PM. Grandstand and Wild Side admission is $30 for adults, $10 for youth 13-15 years old, and, as always, kids 12 and under are free. For more information, call 417-532-2060.
