Fans See Double Features on “Five Dollar Friday”
ODESSA, MO (Aug 3) – Due to a down poor at feature time last Friday night, 
double features were on the schedule for “Five Dollar Friday” at I-70 Speedway. 
Along with the double features, a couple of drivers had double feature wins on 
an absolutely great race track considering temperatures have been in the mid 
90’s. Mike Nichols, Stock Car driver from Iowa commented, “The track was awesome 
tonight, especially for as hot as it has been”. “Most tracks this time of the 
year are hard slick but this track had plenty of bite”. Nichols adds, “A big 
thanks to Brad and the crew for giving us a great track that we can race on”.
The x9 of Brad Whitney took the checker in the conclusion of the Stock Car 
feature from 7-27-07. Following Whitney was the 12 of Russell Walter, 95 Brian 
Audette, 86 Gary Foxworthy, 11t of Bennie Turner and the 63 of Mike Nichols who 
tagged the tail of the field for the restart. 
David Truskett in his 24 SportMod was the winner of the make up feature, the #69 
of Matt Marrant finished second followed by #70 David Willey, 43 Cody Graham, 
and the 31z of Wade Brown. The # 57 of Royce Stanley was unable to make the call 
for the feature. 
In the Sport Compact make up feature, the #33 of Jason Marrant continued his 
winning ways. Following Marrant was the 27 of Shawn Frey, 51 Clifford 
Feltinberger, 4bt Brad Barlow, 62j Jessica Clemons and the 10 of Joe Willcoxson. 
Unable to make the start was the 32 of Allen Guthrie. 
Farm Trucks make up feature winner was the # 2 driven by Bryan Schwartze. 
Schwartze was followed across the line by the #911 of Richard Scott, 05 Benton 
Johns, 9 Tyler Wachs, 19 Adam Schwartze, 13 Tim Johns and the #3 of Paul Harper.
The Modified make up feature went to Terry Van Trump in his #58. Chasing Van 
Trump was the 26ss of Steven Glenn, 19 P.J. Conger, 93s Chad Shaw, 11 Darrin 
Shaw, 22y Yancy Shepard, #51 Joe Skinner, and the 20t Mike Tanner. The #8 of 
Jeremy Simmons did not make the call for the feature. 
With the conclusion of the July 27th features, we move on to the Show for August 
3rd. 
In the IMCA Stock Car division, Mike Nichols in his #63 crossed the finish line 
first, followed by the #12 of Russell Walter, the x9 of Brad Whitney, 86 Gary 
Foxworthy, 11t Bennie Turner, 95 Brian Audette, 1 Matt Bachman, 63e Tim Eaton 
and the 6 of Michael Taylor. The # 74 of Herb Danner was disqualified by tech 
officials in post race inspection. 
IMCA SportMod driver Kevin Jones won his first feature at I-70, piloting his #5. 
Behind Jones was the 70 of David Willey, 43 Cody Graham, 1d D.J. DeMontte, #69 
Matt Marrant, the 24 of David Truskett and the 31z Wade Brown. 
In the Sport Compacts, the #33 of Jason Marrant won his second feature of the 
night. Chasing Marrant to the checker was the #27 of Shawn Frey, 13k Nikolos 
Ford, 6 David Walker, the 7 of Gary Walton, 4bt Brad Barlow, 51 Clifford 
Feltinberger, and the 62j Jessica Clemons. Unable to make the feature call was 
the 10 of Joe Willcoxson, c4 Connie Moss, 60 Jimmy Nelson and the 12 of John 
Nelson 
Melford Simpson in his #10 Farm Truck took the checker flag in front of the 911 
Chris Wanger, 2 Bryan Schwartze, 9 Tyler Wachs, 05 Benton Johns, 19 Adam 
Schwartze, 11 Jim Nelson Sr., 13 Steven Sleeper, 84n Nick Moffett, and the #99 
Charles Ball. Unable to make the feature call was the #3 of Paul Harphan. 
In the IMCA Modified division, Terry Van Trump driving his #58 bested the field 
for the second time in one night. Chasing Van Trump was the #22y of Yancy 
Shepard, 11 Darrin Shaw, 65 Brian Ziegler, 93s Chad Shaw, 20t Mike Tanner, m20 
Michael Mullins, 99 Billy Roberts, 6w Ben Welsch, 9L Joey Lyle, 77w Cory Wray, 
12c Merrill Crose, 16 Austin Siebert, 51 Joe Skinner, 26ss Steven Glenn, 19 P.J. 
Conger and the 5L of Jeremy Lile. The #927 was unable to make the call for the 
feature. 
“Five Dollar Friday” racing action continues next Friday night. Pit Gates open 
at 5:00 pm, Admission Gates open at 6:00 pm. Hot Laps begin at 7:30 with Racing 
at 8:15. As always on Friday nights, all General Admission tickets are only 
$5.00, Children 5 and under are admitted for free.
