LEBANON, MO (Aug 3) - The Show-Me Racin Series Late Models made there 3rd visit of 2007 to the Lebanon Midway Speedway with the 3rd different winner coming out as veteran and defending series champion Ken Essary took control from a fast pace Rick Wallis to take his 1st Late Model feature win of the season.

With over 110 race teams in the pits and threating weather moving in Officials kept things moving right along for an action packed night of racing.

Things got off to a rocky start as Series point leader Leslie Essary would find himself up into the drivers window of Rick Lebow on the start as everyone bunched-up in turn 2 trying to go 4 wide.On the restart Rookie Justin Asplin grabbed the early command from Darrin Barton to lead the opening circuit.Wallis the winner last week of the Show-Me Series feature made a strong move to take control while Ken Essary who started 9th and was charging hard.Going into turn 4,Essary made the low groove stick and was never headed in grabbing his 1st Show-Me Series victory of the season as a fast moving Jeremy Kelley charged into the runner-up spot with point leader Leslie Essary nipping early leader Wallis at the line for 3rd with Darrin Barton completing the top 5.14 of the 21 starters finished on the lead lap with tight racing throughout the field.

In FactoryStock Action Ben Solberg became the 1st repeat winner in 10 races this season over a very talented field taking advantage of his outside front row starting spot.Solberg jumped to the lead over Sundance Keepper on the start as all eyes were back on the battles with Robbie Bryant,Todd Cook,Bobby Ratterree and Lonnie Henderson.On lap 7,Bryant moved around Sundance Keepper to grab second place,but the 2 would make contact in turn 2 sending both to the rear.From there Solberg checked away from the field as Todd Cook came charging from 13th to grab the runner-up honors with Henderson,Kris Jackson from 15th and Terry Green completing the top 5.

The A-Modified feature had defending champion Tony Jackson Jr and Brian Brown bring the field to the green following a short rain delay.Jackson would grab the early control with early season point leader Eric Hudson following closely.On lap 3,Hudson used the outside groove to take the lead as Jackson pulled beside with both drivers within inches of each other as Steve Martin and Jimmy Willis battling for 3rd place.Up front Hudson and Jackson ran side by side with Hudson holding to the narrow lead.Willis strong run ended on lap 8 with a flat tire putting Martin back into 3rd place with 2005 champion and current point leader Jamie Ragland moving into 4th.One lap later Ragland retired to the pits with problems.On the restart,Hudson and Jackson wagged war with Hudson pulling away in the latter stages to grab the win and move himself back into the points battle with Jackson,Martin,Jack Jones and Don Luna completing the top 5.

The Bombers took to the track with 20 strong taking the Green as Joe Francis grabbed the early lead over Reggie Jackson as Bobby Mooney got sideways in front of the field bringing out a restart.On the restart again Francis grabbed the lead as last weeks winner Dusty Rhoads came charging from 11th to grab 3rd and on lap 3,Rhoads powered around the field to grab the lead and hold off a late race surge from point leader Mike Piercy in grabbing the victory with Piercy,Reggie Jackson,Keith Cheever and young Grant Sharp completing the top 5 with only 1 caution the entire event as 11 of the 20 starters were on the lead lap.

The WingedSprint feature had Bradley Roberts grab the opening lead only to loop the car in the infield on lap 2.Dustin Arnall then took control with former champion Eric Todd in tow.On lap 5,Eric Made the high groove stick and never looked back as a tight battle for 2nd developed betwen Arnall,Rusty Quick,Jeremy Hazel,point leader JP Compton and Joe todd.With Eric Todd pulling away,Quick shot into 2nd place on lap 16 andd held on for his best finish of the season with Joe Todd,Compton and early leader Arnall in the top 5.

The B-Mod feature provided plent of close racing as Mike Watson grabbed the early lead with point leader Jason Otto following.On the backstretch,Otto got crossways and made a great save from hitting the wall bringing out the yellow and restarting the feature.Watson again grabbed the lead with Jack Lancaster following close behind.Watson and Lancaster continued this battle until lap 5 when Lancaster took the lead with Watson running the top groove.Ed Wilson,Tyler Brown aand Charlie Gentile were battling hard for 3rd place.On lap 13,Watson tried several attempts to pass Lancaster,but Lancaster recorded his 1st win of the season with Watson,Wilson,Brown and Gentile completing the top 5.

Tony Hatfield survivied a tough feature for the MissouriDirtLegend Cars in grabbing his second Midway victory of the season with Paul Horton Justin Comer Tony Jensen and Rob Watson completing the top 5.

Next week double points night at the Midway with racing including A-Mods,B-Mods,SuperStocks,FactoryStocks,Bombers and WingedSprints with the Bombers running for extra money in the purse.

Gates open at 5 with hotlaps at 6:45 and Racing at 8PM.
