Jackson Jr. edges Neuman by 2 points in U.S.R.A. Lebanon I-44 Speedway Modified Championship

LEBANON, MO (Aug 30) -  Today the U.S.R.A has updated the Lebanon I-44 Speedway Modified points standings, and Tony Jackson Jr. claims the 2007 Modified championship. 2006 Modified champion Justin Neuman finishes just 2 points behind Jackson, narrowly missing a chance to win back-to-back championships.

Jackson Jr. and Neuman went into the final points weekend at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway in a virtual tie in the U.S.R.A Modified points standings. While Jackson won the modified feature, Neuman finished a close 3rd. The U.S.R.A. awards points based on finishes, but also awards points based on other factors such as passing points. As a U.S.R.A. sanctioned track, the Lebanon I-44 Speedway is able to offer additional championship prize money to their very talented modified drivers.

Jackson Jr., Neuman, and all of your favorite Modified drivers will compete this Friday night in a $1,000-to-win feature. The Lebanon i-44 Speedway welcomes the MARS and MLRA Super Late Models Friday and Saturday night for the 5th Annual Larry Phillips Memorial Fall Shootout. Friday night, the Late Models will run heat and feature qualifying races, and the Modifieds will be in action as well. Saturday night, it will be a $10,000-to-win 40 lap Late Model feature, as well as feature races in the Factory Stock, B-modified, and Bomber classes. Gates open at 5PM, racing begins at 730PM this Friday and Saturday night at the Lebanon I-44 speedway, located off interstate exit 135 on old route 66. Grandstand admission is only $10 Friday, and $20 Saturday, and as always, kids 12 and under are admitted free.
