BY: Chuck Stowe [cstowe@winning.com]
ODESSA, MO (Sept 21, 2007) – The first season of points racing on the new Dirt
Track at I-70 is now in the history books. The IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars,
IMCA SportMods, Sport Compacts and Farm Trucks concluded their regular season.
“We knew we were doing something different for this area when we sanctioned with
IMCA but we wanted to try to make local dirt track racing more affordable for
the drivers and car owners”, commented I-70 owner, Brad McDonald”. “I want to
thank all of our drivers, they are a great bunch of guys and gals and they stuck
with us during our first year of operating the dirt track”, “ we like the
structure and rules IMCA provides for us and we will be sanctioned with IMCA
again for the 2008 season”, concluded McDonald.
Drivers on Friday night should be commended for their dedication to get the
Friday show in, just as the third heat of modifieds hit the track, Mother Nature
