DLRA LateModel Series Releases Early 2008 Tenative Schedule

REPUBLIC, MO. (Dec 28) - The Newly Formed AllState DLRA (Dirt Late Model Racing Association) has released the 2008 Tenative Schedule with 8 different tracks hosting events and currently 21 different race dates being released.

Series founder Randy Mooneyham is excited about this new venture early in the stages. "I can't believe the response early so far. With AllState insurance jumping on board I fell we really have something for All the Late Model racers and fans of the areas."

The 2008 Schedule shows several Challanges series races with the O'Reilly MSRA (Mid-South Racing Association) Series from the Arkansas Area and the O'Reilly MARS (Mid-American Racing Series).

"We are talking and not scheduling on top of each other so that the fans can really come out the winners."Quoted Mooneyham."MARS features Bill Frye,Terry Phillips,Will Vaught,Jeremy Payne,Brandon McCormick and others while MSRA features drivers such as champion Joey Mack,Fireball Jeff Floyd,Jordan Jones,Dusty Johnston and others.Add the drivers looking at running with the DLRA such as Monett Champion Shane essary,Tony Jackson Jr.,I-44 Champion Dustin Mooneyham,Gary Gorby,Brad Looney,Patrick Johnson,Terry Beckham And many others it will be tough to make the A feature."

The DLRA currently plans on paying 2000 to win but to make the A feature will be 450 to start with a good solid payoff in the middle of the pack.

The Series is scheduled to start at the longest running weekly dirttrack at Monett,Mo on April 20th with NASCAR Ken Schrader to be on hand racing his Red Baron Pizza LateModel.

From there is next scheduled race will be at monett on May 25th.

June 14th will find the DLRA Touring drivers challanging the MSRA LateModels at the high-banks of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway on the 3/8ths mile oval with Monett on June 15th with another challange race.

July 3rd,The DLRA Stars will battle the MARS Cars-n-Stars at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway to start the Independance weekend.

July 5th will find the DLRA Series traveling to the beautiful Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo on the 1/3 mile oval.

July 11th will find another challange weekend as DLRA tackles MARS in the Larry Phillips Birthday Bash at the Lebanon Midway Speedway and then moving down I-44 to the Springfield Raceway on July 12th for another round with the MARS CARS-N-STARS.

July 18&19th the DLRA Drivers head south to battle the MSRA LateModels at Mooney Starr's Batesville Speedway.

History will be in the making on July 25th as the DLRA Drivers will help bring to life the Muskogee Fairgrounds Speedway(The Old Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee) for a Friday night event and then ack to the home based-Monett Speedway on July 27th.

Aug 8th and 9th will see the Missouri stars tackle the Arkansas based MSRA drivers at the high banked 1/2 mile Tri-State Speedway for the popular Summertime classic.

The next stop will be a Labor Day Weekend galore as a 2 day event at the I-44 Speedway will find DLRA challanging the MARS Stars for the 6th Annual Larry Phillips Memorial and then back to Monett on Sunday Aug 31 for the 4 State Championship at the Monet Speedway.

Sept 19th and 20 will find the 2nd annual Fall Shootout at the I-44 Speedway against the MARS Series.
The season ender will scheduled for October 3rd and 4th at the LebanonMidwaySpeedway for the 4th annual Coca-Cola Fall Brawl.
