Lebanon Midway Adds Show-Me Date/Gearing Up For 2008

LEBANON, MO. (Feb 23) - The New Owners at the LebanonMidwaySpeedway have been busy getting geared-up for an exciting 2008 Racing season as the Show-Me Racin Series LateModels have added a second date to the Midway's Action packed 2008 Schedule.

The Show-Me Racin Series LateModels will be battling on the Midway Clay on Friday Night Sept 12th on the tracks Championship points night.

New Owners Jack Jones and Tony Jackson Jr were very happy about putting the popular LateModel Series with a second date on the schedule.

"This group provides excellent racing on the Midway and with a tight schedule we found an opening on this date giving our fans an extra reason to be here that night."quoted Jack Jones.

The MidwaySpeedway will begin its 2008 racing season with a points battle and a $500 to win B-Mod event on Friday Night March 28th with action in the USRA A-Mods,SuperStockSportsman cars,FactoryStocks,B-Mods,Bombers and 305 Winged Sprints while a practice night is set for Friday Night Sept 21. Another practice date one week earlier is still being looked at.

In other news concerning the Midway,The Aug 8th USMTS(United States Modified Touring Series) Special event is currently being the 1st race in the Hunt for the USMTS Points Championship chase.The Chase is similiar to the Sprint Cup Chase in crowning the 2008 National Champion.

"This event will put everyone on even ground as the touring modifieds have never raced on the Midway clay while 2005 Track Champion Jamie Ragland is excited about the USMTS coming to his home track along with 2007 Champion Eric Hudson.

"Midway provides lots of action for both the fans and drivers and the local racers here really feel we will have a small upper-hand,but it won't take those drivers(The USMTS Travelers) long to figure things out."Midway is about handling,getting through traffic and keeping your nose clean.Horsepower wont be an advantage.
The 2008 season will see the MLRA LateModels come to the Midway twice along with the DLRA/Mars LateModels twice,the Show-Me Racin Series twice,the Popular WOW(Winged Outlaw Warriors)360 Sprints and special events fro the weekly competing classes along with the Fastrak Midwest Regional LateModels and Enduro races throughout the 2008 Racing season every Friday Night under the lights at 8PM.
