Rain Ruins WOW Special At Midway

LEBANON, MO (April 18) - Early morning heavy rains forced the WOW 360 Sprint Special at the Lebanon Midway to be cancelled.

"We just couldn't get the pits dried enough, the track was going to be good, but the pits were the issue. "Co-Owner Jack Jones stated.

"The rain started early in the morning and quit by 8AM here at the track and our phones were ringing off the hook."

The Owners and a few helping hands tried hard to get things ready for the evening, but by 3:45PM,it wasn't going to happen as the ground in the pits wouldn't co-operate.This was the 3rd straight week weather forced the Midway Racing action. No rainout date has been set yet.

"I went by the track at 5:45 and a light drizzle started in and was still acting-up at 6:20 in Lebanon"stated announcer Ron Williams."I hated it to,but I will give Tony and Jack and the crew a tip of the microphone as they tried hard to get this show in.

Action will resume at the Midway Next Friday night as the Missouri Legend Cars are scheduled to be competing along with SuperStocks,FactoryStocks,USRA Modifieds,B-Mods,Bombers and 305 WingedSprints.

Gates will open at 5 with hotlaps set for 6:45 and Racing at 8PM Sharp
