I-44 Ready For June 21 Reopening With 5 Dollar Grandstand Admission

LEBANON, MO (June 14) - After 300 plus loads of new dirt and a reconstructed track, the High-banks of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway plans on being ready for reopening on June 21 with a $5 ticket into the Grandstand as the chase for the Central Bank Racing Series Championships will pick back up.

Action will feature UMP LateModels,USRA Modifieds,Bombers,FactoryStocks,B-Mods and Rookies as gates will open at 5 with racing set for 7:30 sharp.

Billed as the fastest 3/8ths mile dirttrack around, officials at the track felt a need to redo the dirt surface and replace the red clay with some brown dirt and make the track into a true 3/8th by moving the top groove downward and the bottom groove downward also.

Rain has hampered this process as the track has been closed since May 24th in an effort to give the drivers and good surface and the fans a great racing program.

The Speedway celebrating it's 25th season of local racing has hosted some of the best shorttrack racing around on both dirt and asphalt in it's history.

The I-44 schedule has changed some as a special Sat Night July 5th show has been added to the schedule and will hold a fireworks show that night along with a kids bike race with action featuring USRA Modifieds,Bombers,FactoryStocks,B-Mods and SuperStocks.

Thursday Night July 3rd will feature a LateModle Special as the DLRA LateModels will hold a challange race against the MARS Series as it will also be racing a points show for USRA Modifieds and FactoryStocks.

The long awaited DLRA LateModel challange event against the MSRA LateModels has been rescheduled to Sat Night July 26th.
