Lasoski Attempts to Defend His Turkey Night Open Wheel Classic at Springfield Raceway

SPRINGFIELD, MO. (Nov 24) -  For the second year in a row, Springfield Raceway will host its Annual “Turkey Night Open Wheel Classic” will take place this Saturday November 29h on Springfield’s challenging ¼ mile high bank oval.

Race fans will be treated to four divisions of open wheel cars, with Winged Outlaw Sprint Cars, Midgets and both A & B Modifieds. Some of the biggest names in Sprint Car racing have announced their intentions to attend the Open Wheel Classic. 3 time World of Outlaw Champion and International Race of Champions (IROC) winner, Danny "the DUDE" Lasoski will be on hand to defend his win from last year’s event. Lasoski will not have any easy time with top regional standouts Jesse "the Rocket" Hockett, Terry Gray, Brian Brown and 3 time ASCS Champion Tim Crawley, just to name a few.

“Last year’s event was a successful even though we had a dusting of snow on the morning of the race, we hope Mother nature is a little nicer to us this year but regardless the temperatures the action on the track will be as hot as an August night” said Doug Bland, co-owner of the Springfield Raceway.

The Turkey Night Open Wheel Classic will take place on Saturday November 29th. Pit gates will open at noon with spectator gates opening at 1pm and the first heat race hits the track at 43pm. Grandstand tickets will be $15 for adults, $5 for children 6-12 with 5 and under free.
