This Friday April 16, Spend Your Evening with Missouri State Fair Speedway for Rick Ball Ford Opening Night Featuring Legendary Driver Ken Schrader! 

SEDALIA, MO (April 15) - The Historic Half Mile in Sedalia, Missouri is just hours away from dropping the first green flag of the season on what is sure to be a night to remember for race fans and competing drivers!  Promoters Reid Millard and Jason Bodenhamer have diligently been working to ensure the return of weekly racing at the speedway comes back with a vengeance and that opening night will be a true entertainment experience for all in attendance!  Highlighting this Friday’s program, presented by Rick Ball Ford of Sedalia, Missouri, will be an appearance by legendary driver Ken Schrader, who will be competing in the Subway Late Model division. 

The MAMS modifieds, presented by W-K Chevrolet, will compete in the night’s premier feature event as drivers try to race their way into the $250-to-start and $1,200-to-win feature event.  This is the first of several appearances at the speedway this season by the MAMS series, formed in the off-season by Kevin Greven.  For a list of MAMS drivers visit the official MAMS website at www.midamericamodifieds.com.  Joining the MAMS modifieds and Subway late models on opening night will be the highly anticipated return of the 360 sprint cars.  Where else are you going to find three premiere divisions racing on a weekly basis at one track!

The Aflac Vendor Midway will showcase several exciting business and provide interactive fun for fans.  One fun opportunity for fans will be the chance to win a complete Outlaw 410 Sprint Car with a J&J Chassis and Paul Kistler engine!  The car will be on display Friday night and fans will have a chance to purchase raffle tickets for $20 each or 6 tickets for $100.  The national and world champion Nauti Marine offshore racing boat will also be present, visit nautiboats.com for detailed information regarding the championship racing boat.  The Lucas Oil Products Dirt Late Model Simulator Car will be available for fans to try their hand at wheeling a dirt late model and the #99 Aflac Dirt Late Model is also going to be on display.   The Missouri Army National Guard will have their climbing rock wall, as well as a recruiting H-3 HMWWV, and a tactical UP Armor HMWWV.  Several additional MSFS corporate sponsors will also be represented on the Aflac vendor midway. 

One of the more unique things at MSFS this year for fans and drivers will be the ZM Media Jumbotron and incredible sound system provided by NiteLyfe.  Another speedway-unique weekly sponsored event will be the Diamond Pet Foods “Lucky Lap Back Award.”  The recipient of this award will receive his or her lap back during the main events throughout the season if they are behind the wheel of the car that is the first scored one lap down when a caution flag waves over the race.
