Kids Bike Races At Lebanon Midway Along With Tight Point Battles

LEBANON, MO (May 19) - After coming off a very strong Tuesday special edition of racing at the Lebanon Midway Speedway, The chase for the 2010 championships heats up even more as the Speedway will be ready to roll again Friday Night May 21 along with the Kids Bike Races at Intermission.

 Kids 10 and under will be able to compete against others on the race track as the kids Bike Races always provides plenty of entertainment.

 The kids will be racing in different age brackets for prizes and a chance to actually get on the 3/8th mile clay oval during intermission Friday night.

 The racing action will feature 6 classes of cars including the Central Bank Factory Stocks, The popular Energy Company B-Modifieds, Street Stocks, Sportsman, Pure Stocks and the Midwest Modz.

 Following the battles Tuesday night the 2010 chase has really gotten tight in several classes.

 Tyson Troutman of Houston hold a 2 point lead over 3 time winner this season Ben Solberg of Springfield. Solberg has vaulted into the runner-up spot after winning both his heat and feature Tuesday night. Donnie Miller of Houston is only 3 points out of the lead as Mark Davis of Grovesprings, Mike Murzynski and Bill Scharr both of St Robert round out the top 5.

 Wayne Graybeal of Springfield saw his lead shrink in the Modified division after failing to qualify Tuesday night for the feature event. Josh Woody of Buckhorn closed to within 10 points of the lead even with a 20th place finish Tuesday night.Springfield's Wes Long, Lebanon's Micheal Stake and Buffalo's Mark Simon round out the top 5 as many spots were swapped around.

 The Street Stock division will find defending champion Joe Francis holding a 20 point margin over Lynchburg's steady Brandon Waters.Another consistant driver Jack Hamer of Ava is only 12 points behind Waters as Billy Waters and Lebanon's Monk Barker complete the top 5.

 The Pure Stock class still has Conway's Grant Sharp holds a 1 point lead over Lebanon's Kory Barker going into Friday night action as Lebanon's Robert McGinnis, Mansfield's Joey Long and Tuesday Night winner Danny Caffey of Conway are in a dogfight for third place.

 Defending Sportsman champion Ben Newell holds and 5 point advantage over father JC Newell with clinton Betts a solid third followed by Bennie Joiner and Tim Ballinger of Fair Grove.

 14 year old JC Newell still maintains the Midwest Modz point lead in the new class to the area racing scene.

 Gates open at 5 with hotlaps starting at 7:05 and Racing at 8PM sharp.

 Grandstand Adult Admission is only $10 with kids 11-15 $5 and 10 and under Free.

 Kids competing in the bicycle Races are asked to bring helmets and pads.
