Eric Turner Set For 39th Annual Four State Championship HERMITAGE, MO (September 2, 2010) – Eric Turner will enter a single event over the Labor Day weekend as he takes his #99T Rushin Towing/Swaffords Amoco/Larry Shaw/Hatfield Racing Engine Super Late Model into battle in the 39th Annual Four State Dirt Track Championship on Sunday night. Last weekend, Eric entered a pair of $5,000 to win MARS/UMP Challenge events. On Friday, August 27th the festivities got underway at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky with 33 Super Late Models on hand. After finishing fourth in his heat race, Turner qualified for the main event, which would see him battle his way to a 10th place finish on the lightning fast 1/2 mile. On Saturday night, August 28th the action shifted to I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri for another $5,000 to win event. Forty Super Late Models entered the event and via passing points, Turner fell just short of qualifying for the main event in heat race action. He would go on to finish second in his b-main to qualify for the main event, where he would finish in the 19th position in the final rundown. This Sunday, September 5th Eric will resume action with the Mid America Racing Series (MARS) in the 39th Annual Four State Dirt Track Championship, which will pay $4,000 to win the winner at Monett Speedway (Monett, MO). Eric continues to sit second in the latest MARS standings behind Terry Phillips with just a few events remaining in the 2010 season.
