After putting down over 25 loads of new dirt, track owners Jack and Dana Jones feel that this will help not only allow the drivers to tune-up before the season opener but also help the track surface. "The track was really in great shape last season in the middle and latter part of the season and with that you loose alot of dirt,so during the warm and dry time we have been able to get some fresh dirt in and hopefully a few more loads weather allowing us before practice." quoted Jack Jones. The Speedway has set Sat March 19th with practice starting around 1PM until approx 3PM or later while the final practice will be held on Friday Night March 25th with Practice starting around 6PM until 8PM or so tentatively. The Speedway will kick-off the Southwest Missouri Racing season with the 2nd annual Spring Fling on Friday April 1st and Sat April 2nd.The Event will feature B-Mods, Factory Stocks, StreetStocks, Purestocks and Midwest Modz running qualifying heats on Friday evening along with pole dashes and feature events on Sat evening.The High-horse power of the A-Mods will be joining the speedway on Sat Night running Time trials,heats and a feature event. The tracks points battles will begin on April 8th in the chase for the 2011 championship as B-Mods,FactoryStocks,StreetStocks,PureStocks and Midwest Modz compete weekly.
