Morton Grabs Aaron's Modified Money Event/Keepper In Factory Stocks At Lebanon Midway

LEBANON, MO (April 29, 2011) - After suffering 2 weeks of rainouts, action swung back into action Friday Night at the Lebaon Midway Speedway with the running of a special $500 to win Aaron's Modified feature while all new winners graced the winner's circle.

 Action started with the Central Bank FactoryStocks as Donnie Miller brought out a new car for the season with Craig Danuser on his outside.Miller grabbed the opening lead with 2 wide racing behind him.Sundance Keepper moved from his 5th starting spot to move into second place and began his charge on Miller while Danuser,Josh Franklin,Bob Gustin,Tyson Troutman and point leader James Flood were swapping spots.On lap 4,Keepper pulled even with Miller as the lead duo went side by side until Keepper grabbed the top spot on lap 8.With Keepper leading,Miller stayed close and began to pull closer as racing was side by side back in the pack.The only yellow waved on lap 13 when Chris Wynn hit the turn 1 wall hard bunching the field up.With Kepper's lead down to nothing now,Sundance found several new contenders trying for his top spot as Miller,point leader Flood,Defending champion Troutman,Franklin and Burl Woods were now in contention.Keepper brought the field to the restart as Miller stayed close.Miller and Flood would go side by side as Burl Wodds now became a player in the chase.Keepper would hold off a late challange by Miller to grab the win with Miller holding off a charge by Flood for the runner-up spot with Flood,Woods and Troutman completing the action packed feature.

 The Aaron's Sales And Rental Modified feature saw another great field of cars and after qualifying through time trials and heats,Lebanon's Kris Jackson had earned the pole spot with JC Morton on his outside.Jackson would grab the opening lead with Springfield hard charger Brandon Maggard shooting around on lap 2 as the front pack was side by side with Jackson,Morton,Michael Stake and Tyler Brown al together.Maggard looking for the 500 to win event would pace laps 2&3 until Morton shot to the bottom of the track and grabbed the lead on lap 4.The 20 lap feature went caution free as Morton began to pull away leaving Maggard,Stake,Jackson,Tyler Brown and Andrew Smith to battle.Up front Morton stayed glued to the bottom ans never looked back in taking his first win of the season with Maggard,Stake,early leader Jackson and Smith completing the top 5.

 In Energy Company Purestock action,Lebanon's Monk Barker grabbed the opening lead over Shorty Doublin and would lead the opening 4 laps.With 2 wide racing,Kolt Barker began his march forward and moved around Monk Barker on lap 5 as Shorty Doublin moved back into second place on lap 7 and began his movement to the front running Kolt Barker.The race which went caution free saw tight action in the middle pack which included Kory Barker,Elijah Keepper,Danny Caffey,Matt Young and Jack Hamer.Up front,Kolt Barker would hold off a late surge fron Doublin to grab his first win of the season with Doublin,early leader Monk Barker,Kory Barker and Young completing the top 5.

 The transport Graphics StreetStocks showed the crowd an outstanding feature event as Lebanon's Josh Lewis grabbed the opening lead with defending champion Joe Francis along side.On lap 3,Francis took over the lead as Lebanon's Trevor Ellingson followed in his Ford.A classic side by side battle deveolped with Ellingson picking the top lane and moved into the lead on lap 7.The races only caution flew on lap 9 as Brandon Waters spun in turn 2 bunching the field-up.With ellingson leading the double-file restart,Francis shot to the low side at the drop of the green to challange for the lead as Lewis and Rodney Yost went side by side for third place.For the final 5 laps,Ellingson moved back into the top groove and pulled even several times,but Francis would hold off the challanges to take his first points win of the season with Ellingson,Brandon Waters,Yost and Lewis following.

 The Rocky Ridge Construction Midwest Modz had alittle trouble getting started but once the got the green flag,Veteran Earl Muilenburg showed the field that the ageless wonder from Sparta hasn't forgotten how to run up front.Leading all 15 laps,muilenburg withstood several challanges from point leader JC Newell and Rich Reynolds in grabbing his first win of the season.Newell and Reynolds went side by side for several laps for the runner-up spot with Newell grabbing the position with Reynolds,Bill Joiner and Dalton Maggard completing the top 5.

 Action in the Central Bank chase for the championship continues next Friday Night with all 5 classes on hand.Hotlaps are at 7:05 and racing at 8PM.
