SPRINGFIELD, MO (May 4, 2011) - The first of many big special events is just around the corner at the Springfield Raceway as the running of the John Kuntz Memorial Presented by Andy's Frozen Custard will be Sat Night May 14th featuring the challenge between the MARS and MLRA Super Late Model Series at the racy, Quick-Quarter mile dirt-track. John Kuntz, the founder of Andy's Frozen Custard was an avid race fan and big supporter to the local racing scene is honored and remembered at the First Super Late Model event at the Springfield Raceway. The battle last season was outstanding event with a standing room only crowd as Springfield's Terry Phillips captured the win over 2 time and defending event winner Jeremy Payne and a star-studded field of Late Models from 7 different states were on hand in the $3,000 to win event that featured side by side racing and only 1 caution throughout the 40 lap feature. The Event will also feature the Transport Graphics Championship chase for the USRA RHS Budweiser A-Mods, Reliable Chevrolet SportMods, Casey's General Stores Midwest Modz and the Missouri Legend Cars. Pitpasses for this event will be $35.00. Grandstand admission will be $20.00 for Adults and the grandstands will open at 5PM.PitGates for this event will open at 3:00 with local divisions drivers meeting at 5:45 and Hotlaps at 6:15,Racing is slated to start at 7PM.
