Battle Of The Badges At Springfield Raceway for Special Olympics And Points Action

SPRINGFIELD, MO (May 17, 2011) - Sat night May 21st will be the first of three scheduled Battle of the Badges at the Springfield Raceway with law enforcement from all over the state competing against each other as they race to help raise money for Special Olympics.

 The Law Enforcement personell will be competing in their own personal prepared and build Crown Vics built to special rules and will be held at intermission.

 Last season at SpringfieldRaceway,Christian County Sherriff Joey Kile claimed bragging rights as he cam from 11th starting spot out of 12 entries to take home the special traveling trophy by grabbing the lead on the last lap of the 20 lap feature they held which helped raise money for One Missing Link.

 This was as exciting as the championship races held weekly at the Quick-Quarter.

 In Addition the Transport Graphics Championship Chase continues with action in the Budweiser RHS USRA A-Mods,Reliable Chevrolet SportMods,Casey's General Stores Midwest Modz,Missouri Legends,Pepsi StreetStocks and Wheeler Metals Purestocks.

 Currently SpringfieldRaceway point leaders include Jackie Dalton(A-Mods)Of Carthage,Bobby Maggard Jr(SportMods) of Republic,Trevor Drake(Midwest Modz)of Webb City, Park Jones(Legends) of Joplin,Jack Hamer(PureStocks) of Ava and Bryan Tillman(StreetStocks)of Branson.

 Grandstand gates open at 5 with hotlaps at 6:15 and Racing at 7PM sharp.

 Adult Admission is only $10 while Kids 6-12 are $5 and under 6 are Free.
