Dittemore claims first career win and the Anderson brothers storm victory lane at I-35 Speedway!

WINSTON, MO (May 28, 2011) - The night started out with the IMCA Stock Car make up feature from last week. Derrick Iddings from Daviess County Farm Bureau in Gallatin Missouri put up an extra $100 for a Stock Car driver to win both features tonight. Winston Missouri driver Gene Stigall captured the first feature, that put him on track to win the bonus money. Stigall was followed across the line by Kevin Anderson, Thomas Roberts, Josh Steele and David Powell. Shane Florence won the hard charger award. 

The second Stock Car feature was a role reversal with Kevin Anderson holding off Gene Stigal to capture his first win of 2011. Stigall held on to second followed by Jeff Dixon, Brad Whitney in a borrowed car, and Jake Cameron. Anderson had a good battle early with numerous drivers before motoring away to win by a straightaway. Stigall had to come through the field for second but finished one spot away from the bonus. Brad Whitney after losing the motor in his machine borrowed Bennie Turners car and won the hard charger award. 

In the Grand Nationals Jason Anderson, brother of Kevin Anderson also picked up his first win of the year. On the start Anderson started to go backwards but a caution came out before a lap got in the books so the had to double them up and try it again. Anderson got a much better restart that go around and had a good battle with Mike Taylor Jr. before eventually pulling away to the win. Dean Wray right on his back bumper ran out of time and finished second with Travis Walker, Mike Ryun and Taylor Jr. rounding out the top five. Walker making his return to I-35 did win the hard charger award. 

St. Joesph driver Brad Dittemore picked up his first career feature win in the IMCA Sport Mod division. Dittemore had a good battle with Nick Hanes before Hanes lost the spring out of his car. Chris Wright worked his way up to second to battle Dittemore for the final few laps. Wright finished second, Jeremy Pittsenbarger who had the lead for a while finished third, Hanes fourth and Anthony Asher fifth. Dale Hess went from 20th-6th for the hard charger. 

Cory Wray won his first IMCA Modified feature of the season. Early on Wray had a battle with John Crews before Crews lost the pull bar on his 12c machine. Bud Wilson came up through the field for second followed by Shay Woods, Todd Wilson and Colby Dixon. Woods came from his sixteenth place starting spot to win the hard charger. 

Trenton Missouri IMCA Hobby Stock driver Greg Keuhn picked up win number three in the fifth race of the season. He had a hard fought battle with David Willey, Matthew Lance and Lee Farmer before he motored away. Mike Youngs, Adam Reeter, Jeremy Turner and Alex Anderson had good runs with top 5 finishes. Keuhn started n inth on the grid and captured the hard charger.
