Maggard Jr Becomes 5th Different Winner At Lebanon Midway Modified Main

LEBANON, MO (June 3, 2011) - Veteran Factory Stock driver Bobby Maggard Jr has served notice to the area B-Mod drivers that we has adapted to the open-wheeled as the current Springfield Raceway point leader grabbed the lead on the opening lap from pole setter JC Newell and moved to the far outside groove to become the 5th different winner in 5 races this season in the Aaron's modified feature.

Newell and Bill Schaar set the field from the front row as the Gentle Giant grabbed the opening lead as Maggard Jr shot from his second row starting spot to pull on the outside groove as Bill Schaar kept to the low side.Maggard Jr took the lead on lap 1 as Tyler Brown,Newell, and current Midway point leader Michael Stake went to battle while last weeks winner Kris Jackson was coming through the field. The only caution waved on lap 3 for debris as the field bunched up on the double-file restart with maggard getting a great jump while Tyler Brown and Newell battled side by side.On lap 4 Brown took over second place as Jackson moved into third place with Stake following. With action and positions being swapped all over the field,Maggard put some distance between himself and Brown leaving the great battle for runner-up.Maggard in his pro-line automotive car took his first victory this season at Midway and became the 5th different winner in 5 Central Bank Racing Series action as Brown held off repeated challanges by Jackson for second with Jackson,Stake and JC Newell in the top 5.

Another great Central Bank FactoryStock action as Josh Franklin and Donnie Miller brought the field to the opening green as points runner-up Sundance Keepper pulled up to make the field 3 wide on the opening lap while defending champion Tyson Troutman shot to the low side.Miller would pull up high after 1 lap with a flat tire as the caution waved with Keepper taking the lead with Franklin following. On the restart,Troutman shot to the low side around Franklin and gave chase to Keepper while Burl Woods was working the top groove quickly. With Keepper setting a quick pace, the battles were all over as Troutman and Woods were battling for second and Franklin and Mark Davis were battling for fourth. On lap 7,Woods moved around Troutman for the runner-up spot with side by side action all around.Caution waved on lap 12 as Woods slowed with problems and then Franklin's great run ended against the backstretch wall as something broke on the car. With Keepper in the lead,Troutman got a last chance on the restart as Donnie Miller had charged all the way back to third place after the opening lap tire issue.Troutman made a last minute effort on Keepper, but Sundance would grab his third win of the season and took over the point lead with Troutman,Miller,Mark Davis with his best run of the season and Craig Danuser charging into the top 5.

The Energy Company Purestock feature went 15 laps green, white checkered as point contender Matt Young took the opening lead with Shorty Doublin close behind.THe lead duo were pulling away as current point leader Monk Barker moved from 6th to third place on lap 3 while last weeks winner Kory Barker followed from the 10th starting spot.Doublin would try several times to grab the lead from Young while Young held the middle line and the top spot.As the top 2 battled,Monk Barker,Kory Barker and Kolt Barker began closing in.On lap 8,Monk took the runner-up spot from Doublin and then the lead on lap 9 and grabbed his second win of the season while defending champion Kory Barker earned a hard fought runner-up spot with early leader Young,Shorty Doublin and Kolt Barker completing the top 5.

The Rocky Ridge Construction Midwest Modz feature also went caution free as current point leader Little JC Newell shot from the pole spot and never looked back in taking his 3rd win of the season.A great battle between Bill Joiner and a fast moving Aaron Barsness along with Sam Petty developed.Barsness making his first ever Midwest Modz Start rallied from his 6th starting spot to take home the runner-up spot while Joiner claimed third place while Petty and a fast moving Dakota Maggard followed in the top 5 in a 15 lap event that featured great action in the middle pack.

Defending champion and current point leader Joe Francis grabbed the opening lead in the Transport Graphics StreetStock feature to become the first repeat winner this season.Last weeks winner Trevor Ellingson, points runner-up Brandon Waters, early contender Rodney Yost and Ricky Brashears completed the top 5 in the caution free event with good racing behind the winner Francis.
