Keuhn and Baumli make two trips to victory lane in one night
at I-35 Speedway!

WINSTON, MO (June 11, 2011) - One driver that's been
on a roll this season is IMCA Hobby Stock driver Greg Keuhn from Trenton
Missouri. Keuhn picked up double feature wins tonight bringing his total to
six for the season. Keuhn started out winning the May 21st makeup feature
and followed that up by winning the second feature and being the first and
only to take home the extra $100 from Derrick Iddings and Daviess County
Farm Bureau. In the first feature he was followed by Lee Farmer, Billie
Hoover, Mich Ross and Alexis Whitney. The second feature Keuhn wrestled the
lead away with two laps to go from Farmer, who finished second for the
second time tonight. The were followed by Bruce Fair, Billie Hoover and
David Willey. Keuhn took home both hard charger awards as well.
Jamesport Missouri's Dean Wray picked up win number
two on the season in the Grand National division. Wray had a good battle
with Buz Kaster before he had to pull off the track with mechanical
problems. Mike Ryun tried running Wray down but ran out of laps and finished
second with Jason Anderson third, Travis Walker fourth and Jeff Smith fifth.
Jason Anderson took home the hard charger award in this caution free race.
Two rookies dominated the IMCA Modified feature.
Rookies in the class but not in racing. John Hanson who stepped up from the
Stock Car class led fifteen of twenty laps before last seasons IMCA Sport
Mod champion Shay Woods found the outside line. Woods from Humeston Iowa
soared to his second win of the season in this caution free event. Hanson
held on to second with Bud Wilson, Jeff Marriott and Cory Wray rounding out
the top five. Cory Wray took home the hard charger award.
Jeff Dixon from Jamesport Missouri will miss next
week to get married so he decided to give his future wife an early wedding
present by winning his third IMCA Stock Car feature of 2011. Dixon had a
good battle with Tyler Corkins and Bennie Turner before he motored away for
the win. Kevin Anderson got up to second followed by Gene Stigall in third,
Tyler Corkins fourth and Josh Steele fifth. Anderson gained seven spots to
win the hard charger.
JJ Baumli from Lathrop Missouri took home win number
three in the IMCA Sport Mod division tonight. Baumli had a good battle with
Blake Peeler and Anthony Asher before pulling away. Peeler held on to
second, Mike Tanner was third, Anmthony Asher fourth and Chris Wright fifth.
Scotty Grenier took home hard charger honors tonight.
JJ Baumli, Chris Wright, Jeff Stotts, Duke Jacobs,
Mike Tanner and Blake Peeler battled in the Shocker Chassis Super Six
Showdown for the Sport Mods. In the end it was JJ Baumli coming through this
double elimination event edging out the fan pick Chris Wright to take home
the win.
