Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps Presents the Lucas Oil ASCS Winged Warrior Showdown this Saturday, June 18th! 

WHEATLAND, MO (June 14, 2011) - The Winged Sprint Cars are back at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri this Saturday, June 18th as Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps Presents the Lucas Oil ASCS Winged Warrior Showdown featuring the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region Winged Sprint Car Series.

"These Warrior Region Drivers always do a great job here with thrilling side by side open wheel racing" stated Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson, "and with both the ASCS National Tour and the ASCS Midwest Region off on Saturday, you just never know who may drop in here at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks." As an added bonus, Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps will pay an extra $500 to the winner if they have an Impact Wrap on their racecar.

A pair of Missouri youngsters sit in a tie atop the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region point standings, as 23-year-old Brad Loyet of Sunset Hills, Missouri and 20-year-old Mark Shirshekan of Farmington, Missouri each have 277 points. 4-time Warrior Region Champion, Randy Martin out of California, Missouri sits in the third spot just 21 points out of the lead. Tyler Blank, also from California, Missouri holds down the fourth spot in points just one point behind Martin. Nixa's Kyle Bellm rounds out the Top-5.

 

The balance of the current Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region top ten includes Austin Alumbaugh (Higginsville, MO), Jonathan Cornell (Sedalia, MO), Josh Stephens (Buckner, MO), Evan Martin (Lohman, MO) and Rafe Essary (Stilwell, OK). The TNT Quick Shop Late Models and the Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stocks will also do battle this Saturday night, as the chase for the Rockstar Energy Drink Weekly Championship heats up. Greenfield, Missouri's Rylan Long continues to lead the TNT Quick Shop Late Model points standings after scoring his fourth win in a row this past Saturday night. Defending Track Champion Randy Gilmore sits atop the Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stock points but James Flood has closed to the gap to just five points heading into this weekend's racing action. 


Spectator Gates open at 5:00pm this Saturday with Hot Laps set to get under way at 7:00 and the first big race of the night at 7:30pm. Adult Admission at the gate is just $17 with Seniors and Active Military only $12. Juniors (6-15) are just $5 and Kids 5 and under are always FREE at Lucas Oil Speedway. Show Your AAA Membership Card at the gate and receive $3 off any Adult or Senior General Admission Ticket.

 

Family Passes are priced at only $40 for this event which includes entry for two adults (age 16 and up) and up to three youth (ages 6-15), discounts on kids meals, gift shop merchandise, and funnel cakes.

 

A limited number of VIP Suites are also still available for Saturday night and start at only $400 for a 12 guest unit which includes admission for 12, One Complimentary Food Tray off the Suite Menu, and (2) Six Packs of your choice of Water, Soda, or Beer.
