WORLEY, SMITH, BLAIR AND FARRIS TAKE HOT WINS AT SFCR

FARMINGTON, MO (July 24) – On a very hot evening when fluids were at a premium and employees of JR's Lawn Care and Snow Removal were in the stands, Tommy Worley, Jr continues to thrive at St Francois County Raceway. In his Alan Barton owned machine, Worley worked his way to the front and the win. Robbie Standridge, who won the dash, started on the pole and led the first eight laps of the event. He was followed by Jimmy Bridgeman, Worley, Jimmy Hurley and John Epperson. Lap nine was the lead change as Worley took charge. Racing away pretty much uncontested. The race was stopped on Lap thirteen for Jimmy Bridgeman as he got upside down in turn two. Jimmy walked away from the roll under his own power, but his night was finished. In limited showing Worley has racked up an impressive record. Winning for the fifth time in eight attempts. “Twister” as he is also know was followed across the line by Point Leader, Jimmy Hurley in second. Third place finish goes to Robbie Standridge. Fourth belonged to Kasey Burch on a very nice run. Completing the top was Brad Greer in a steady run. Worley and Rod Crabdree are the heat winner for the night. Robbie Standridge claims dash honors.

Bonne Terre's Billy Smith has it his way in the Winners Circle. Smith, who dropped a motor last week, was contemplating not running this week. However, his boss and sponsor, Kenny Wallace said to take the motor that was on the stand for a year or so. The motor was stout enough to power around the outside and take the lead from Brent Thompson. Thompson settled for second on this night. Thompson would start on the front row along side Matt Eaton. They were chased into turn one by Smith and Kent Nations. Quickly these four put some distance between themselves and the field. They stayed tight for several laps. Smith broke away from the pack and took the lead on Lap four. Smith was followed home by Thompson, Kent Nations, Kasey Nations and Matt Eaton. Smith, Kent Nations and Thompson claimed heats wins. Thompson also claimed the dash.

Tonight was the night for the B-Modifieds to run for there $600 to win. It was also the perfect night for one Shane Blair to get his first win of his career in the division. The car has been in victory lane this season with Billy Smith driving. Michael Savage, Blair, John Bohn Kyle Stolzer, Kenny Harris and Eddie Gross looked as if they were on a fox hunt. The prize of $600 to win put these drives on the trail quickly. However, the raced could not get any momentum as it was riddled with caution flags for a variety of reasons. One flag came as Blair and Savage were fighting for the lead. Getting a little tight these drivers laid on each other. Blair trying to hold his line at the bottom. Contact ensured and Savage held on to his lead. Off turn two, Blair got the inside line covered and Savage had to go to the outside to pass. Diving it deep he tried to make the pass, but spun it around. Relegated to the end of the field savage recovered to finish eighth. Blair had to survive one more caution for the spinning car of Tim Nash. Blair had pressure from Eddie Gross who finished second. John Bohn took his mount home in third. Point Leader Kyle Stolzer make another top five by finishing fourth and Greg Swearingim completes the top five. Savage, Bohn and Blair are heat winner this evening.

Pure Street action was hot as well. Jimmy Farris made it two in a row as he bested the field. Robbie Willimas again had a fast race car. He came out of the gate fast and brought Kyle Berry along with him. Outside starter Dusty Homan got away good as well, but fell to third followed by Kodi

Savage and Robbie Wells. The first nine laps were ran without issues. The yellow the waved for the dreaded debris. This set a series of cautions one included a second place running Kyle Berry. Berry had come up with a flat tire on the right rear and was finished for the remainder of the event. Williams again had the covered only to spin his car for the second week in a row. Farris inherited the lead for the final two laps and the win. Homan takes runner up honors. He was chased to the line by Eric Saraks in another good run for third. Fourth place was collected by Robbie Wells. John Bohn takes the final spot in the top five. Willimas and Homan are the heat winners.
