K Jackson Survives Wild Modified Main As Keepper Rolls In Factory Stocks

LEBANON, Mo. (August 22, 2011) - Despite early morning rains, the central Bank racing Series action got back underway Friday Night at the Lebanon Midway Speedway as Lebanon's Kris Jackson survived some late cautions and a Scotty Allen charge to capture his third Modified win of the season in the Aaron's Modified feature event.

Stoutland's Tyler Brown jumped to the opening lead with current point leader Michael Stake, Ted Ballinger, Jackson and Shawn Strong following. A couple of early yellows kept Brown from pulling away and also saw Allen starting at the rear after being involved in a caution after rocketing off turn 1.

With Brown staying glued to the bottom of the track, Jackson moved around Ballinger on lap 4 to take the second place spot and closed-in on Brown. With tight racing up front,Ballinger,JC Newell,Allen and Stake all battled. On lap 10,Brown slid up the track and that was all Jackson needed as he shot inside of the leader to take the top spot.Scotty Allen started his forward movement again and overtook Brown for second and began to close-up the ground on Jackson.A couple of late cautions kept everyone bunched-up.On a lap 13 restart,Allen went top side on Jackson and looked to grab the lead only to see the caution wave again.Jackson was ready for the next restart and held off Allen for the win with Allen, early leader Brown,Stake and Ballinger completed the top 5.

FactoryStock veteran driver Sundance Keepper made a return trip to the Midway pay off as he took the opening lead from Donnie Miller on lap 1 and never looked back in taking the Central Bank FactoryStock event.Current Point leader Tyson Troutman made some late race moves to close in on Keepper but Keepper pulled away in the last 2 laps to secure the win.Troutman,Donnie Miller, Shawn Whitman and David McDonald completed the top 5.

Energy Company PureStock action provided last lap action as Lebanon's Kolt Barker wrestled the lead from brother and defending champion Kory Barker in taking his third win of the season.Kory jumped to the opening lead with Monk Barker staying close behind.During the long green flag runs,Kolt who started 7th in the feature moved around Monk to take second place and closed-in on Kory's car.On the white flag lap,Kolt made the winning move to secure the win as Kory Barker,Monk Barker, point leader Matt Young and Chad Hufft completed the top 5.

Defending Rocky Ridge Construction Midwest Modz champion JC Newell grabbed the opening lead from Jamie Petty and pulled away to grab the win.Niangua's Sam Petty came from 8th to second by lap 4 but never got close to the fast moving Newell.TRavis Hill made a strong showing tonight in his first race in several seasons as he drove to a third place finish while Brian Warner and points runner-up Rich Reynolds completed the top 5.

Buffalo's Mark Simon wasted no time in taking the lead on the opening lap in the Transport Graphics StreetStock feature.Close action kept the battle for second close with Trevor Ellingson,Rodney Yost,Brandon Waters,Brandon Knudtson and point leader Joe Francis.A lap 2 crash involving Knudtson and Ellingson ended Knudtson's night but ellingson returned to action despite damage to the car.On the restart,Simon pulled away leaving some great racing for second place.Brandon Waters had that spot secured until the last lap when a tire went flat moving Rodney yost to grab the runner-up spot as Francis,Ellingson and Waters completed the top 5.

Action continues again Friday Night Aug 26th with the PureStocks and Midwest Modz competing for some help purse money and bonus points along with the Central Bank Championship chase featuring FactoryStocks,Modifieds and StreetStocks,Racing starts at 8PM sharp.
