Vance Wilson achieved his career win No. 100 at 24 Raceway
Ron Lueck - 24 Raceway, Moberly, MO

MOBERLY, MO. (July 8, 2006) - Vance Wilson achieved his career win No. 100 at 24 Raceway last night on July 8 over a pretty good group of competitors. Seems like they all came to give him a legitimate challenge and all Vance did was solidify the century mark for his win total. All but one of these wins have come in the modified division for car owners from Lindell Scott to current owner Donnie Charlton, and at least a third of them at Moberly's high-banked half mile track. He is the points leader of the A-modified class at 24 Raceway, having won 10 of the 11 A-mod races this 2006 season at 24 Raceway. NASCAR teams might just be watching this guy and noting his success.

In the Moberly Motors B-Modified, David Holder, subbing a second week for Gary R. Wilson of Holliday, got his second win in 2 weeks. Butch Bailey, in an as-of-last-night still unsponsored Sportsman, got his win no. 2 for the season. Mike Wolfe was a repeat winner in the Hobby Stock class, while Brooke Hassler got his 5th win this season in the 4cyl. Hornets.

Next week at 24 Raceway, July 15 will be the Mid-season Winged Outlaw Warriors Shoot Out at 24 Raceway, and marks the second of three scheduled events for this fast class of 360 c.i. Sprint Cars at Moberly Missouri. Also racing are the regular five classes of A-modifieds, Moberly Motors B-modifieds, Sportsman, Hobby Stock and the 4 cly. Hornets.

"Dirt Track Racing at its Best" happens all season long at 24 Raceway, just three miles east of Moberly, Missouri on Highway 24. A full report by Pam Hassler, along with a full list of the results & promo is to follow on Monday 7/10. Adult admission to the grandstand will be $15, with kids at $5 for ages 6 to 12. Rates for that popular Family Pass are $35 and that includes admission to the grandstands for 2 adults and 3 children, ages 6 to 12. Kids under 6 are always free. Grandstands and the Pit Gate will both open at 4pm. Pit Pass admission is still $22. Racing starts at 7 p.m. with hot laps at 6:15 following a short drivers' meeting every Saturday night this season.
