Jerrod Hull Wins O'Reilly Auto Parts W.O.W. at 24 Raceway
by: Ron Lueck - 24 Raceway, Moberly, MO.

MOBERLY, MO. (JULY 15) - At 24 Raceway, Sikeston's Jerrod Hull driving his #94, for a change in an O'Reilly Auto Parts W.O.W. race, got his 1st win ever with this group by coming to the lead on lap 18. Randy Martin of California, got the pole and led the first 7 laps in a strong showing with the #14 Diamond Pet Food sprint, before Sedalia's Matt Fox took over the front position for the next 10 laps. Fox held on to finish a career best 2nd, behind Hull. Two early cautions were the only things that slowed this race, the final feature of an exciting evening at Moberly on this hot July 15 Saturday night, and sponsored by Marshall Engineering & Surveying, Inc. of Columbia, Magic City Glass and Kinder Machine Shop, both of Moberly.

In the A-modified event, Curt Potter came in with another 2nd place, his 6th this 2006 season, followed by brother Steve finishing in 3rd, and both of these behind winner David Holder, getting his 2nd win for the season at 24 Raceway. All things considered, it was a pretty successful night for Boonville's Potter racing family, with another brother, Rusty, placing 7th in the sprint race.

Bob Woodrow, Paris, placed his #3 car in the winner's spot for the 7th time this season in the Moberly Motors B-Modified race, while Pete Agee of Huntsville got the Sportsman class win. Clinton Dale, Jacksonville, returned to the winner's circle as well, following a two-week layout, in the #7 Hobby Stock, and Moberly's David Lorton also returned to his hometown track after a week off to get the win in the 4cyl. Hornet division.

Next week, July 22 at 24 Raceway, the Dwarf Car Racer's Association will return with the Dwarf Cars & Mod-Lites to Moberly, to join the regular five classes of A-modifieds, Moberly Motors B-modifieds, Sportsman, Hobby Stock and the Hornets.

"Dirt Track Racing at its Best" happens all season long at 24 Raceway, just three miles east of Moberly, Missouri on Highway 24. A full report by Pam Hassler, along with a repeated list of the results & promo is to follow on Monday 7/17. Adult admission to the grandstand will be only $10, with kids at $5 for ages 6 to 12.
