Another windy Saturday night, September 23rd, at 24 Raceway brought racing action, ending in time for the party in the pit area, complete with live band music following the races in Moberly, Missouri.
By: Ron Lueck - 24 Raceway, Moberly, MO.

MOBERLY, MO. (Sept. 23, 2006) - Mark Dotson, in his 1st return to 24 Raceway this season, dominated his heat and the feature in the A-modified class. This was his return to the winner's circle after last visiting that territory on opening night for the 2005 season in Moberly. Kevin Blackburn, witn his two wins this season, qualified and won the SSAutoSports.com 6-lap race for the A-mods after the main features ended. In the Moberly Motors B-modifieds, a very tight race between friends, Kelly Smith and Tony Garner, was the show as Smith got his 3rd feature win in two weeks. Mike Harward took the win in the Sportsman class over Jeff Creed in a hard-fought battle. Both the runner ups in the main feature for each of the B-mod and Sportsman races went on to grab the braggin' rights win in their respective classes in the SSAutoSports.com race later in the evening. Other feature winners for the night were Larry Krog and Rob Chase, getting not only their regular Hobby Stock and Hornet wins, respectively, but also the SSAutoSports.com class wins too.

Next week, on Saturday September 30 at 24 Raceway, the final night of racing for the 2006 season will be taking place. It's a last chance for those wanting to go to the off-season with a very good memory in all five weekly classes of A-modifieds, Moberly Motors B-mods, Sportsman, Hobby Stock and 4 cylinder Hornets.
