O'Reilly Thunder in the Dirt Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pulling Series Returns to Junction Motor Speedway, McCool Junction, Ne.

McCOOL JUNCTION, NE. (Aug. 23, 2006) - The Big Boys with the Big Toys will be returning to Junction Motor Speedway on September 1, 2006. They were to be there on June 16th, the night before the Ravenna Pull, but were called off because of the weather by the Pulling Association. It was then decided that they would return right before the Nebraska State Fair on Friday September 1, 2006 with a bigger and better show. They will have two tracks to pull on and two sleds will be going also.

At the Junction Motor Speedway pull, there will be Super Stock Tractors, Super Farm Tractors, Pro Stock Tractors, Modified 4WD Trucks, Modified 2WD Trucks, Modified Tractors and Unlimited Super Stock Tractors.

Points leader in the Super Stock Tractors is Robert Polson of Springfield, Ne driving Blue Can Fever. Some of the other local drivers in this division are Rod Psota of Ravenna, Ne. , Ervin Hake of Columbus, Ne, Gary Remmers of Holmsville, Ne, Shawn Wiens of Beatrice, Ne, Arlin Pomajzl of Crete, Ne, Gary Remmers of Holmsville, Ne, and Brad Bruhn of Leigh , Ne.

Points Leader in the Super Farm Tractors is Ron Ehmen of Syracuse, Ne driving Fire N Ice, He also drives Screaming Petunia in this class. Other drivers from Nebraska are Chad Weitzenkamp of Hooper, Ne, Mark Roberts of Scribner, Ne , Jeff Stratman of West Point , Ne Bryan Deck of Winside, Ne, Jim Nebuda of West Point, Ne, Jim Chvatal driving, Darin Weers of Diller , Ne and Tim Lottman of Beatrice, Ne.

In the Pro Stock Tractors the Points leader is Davin Yarick of Rich Hill, Mo driving Dirtslingn Deere. Nebraska Drivers in this class are Bill Behrendt and Rick Behrendt of Ravenna, Ne. and Jeff Anderson of Pierce, Ne.

In the Modified 4 WD Trucks the points leader is Terry Hagedorn of Thompson, Mo driving Untamed Spirit. There are no other drivers in this class that are in the points standings from Nebraska.

The Modified 2 WD Truck Leader is Oz Hay of Sikeston, MO driving Nitroholic. Other drivers from the area are Jason Klausen of Laurel, Ne, Randy Urban of Osceola, Ne., and Bryan Cobb of S. Sioux City, Ne.

The Modified Tractor Division finds Terry Pinkley of Springdale, Ar driving Roarin Rooster in the lead. Cody Behrends of Firth, Ne is the only Nebraska Driver listed in this class.

The last class at the Speedway will be the Unlimited Super Stock Tractors with Dale Haug of Centralia, Ks with a one point lead driving Little Temptation and Elmer Haug of Centralia, Ks is in Second Place driving Big Temptation. Rod Psota of Ravenna, Ne also drives in this class along with Jim Kyncl of Valley, Ne and Shawn Wiens of Beatrice, Ne.

A statement was made by Brent Paddock of Mound City, Ks about their recent OTTPA Pull, that "The Modifieds are definitely the biggest, 'baddest' tractors in the pulling world." These machines are powered by industrial engines such as turbines from helicopters, V-12 Alison and Rolls Royce engines from airplanes or three modified V-8's in a row.

Tickets for the Pull are $10 for Adults, $4 for 6 to 12 year olds and 5 and under are free. You can get a discount if you bring 2 non perishable items for our local food pantries. We will have representatives of the Blue Valley community Centers taking donations for the food banks in the area giving coupons at the gate for items brought in. Items needed now are Pasta's, any type of canned fruit, soups, and all sorts of canned pasta's. Also needed are paper products and personal hygiene products such as shampoo and bar soap.
