Lincoln County Raceway To Have Lots of Thunder in 2007

NORTH PLATTE, NE. (Jan. 27, 2007) - Riverside Motorsports, headed by Gary Herbst and Tamie Thurn, have finalized plans for the 2007 season at Lincoln County Raceway in North Platte. The schedule has lots of "Thunder" for not only the regular Saturday nights, but during four special events as well. On regular nights, the Modifieds, Stocks Cars, and Hobby Stocks, all sanctioned by the International Motor Contest Association, will be putting a show on the 3/8 mile track, while the Mini-Sprints battle on the smaller, infield track. On three regular nights, a Late Model class will be added to the show. The National Championship Racing Association and American Sprint Car Series (Rocky Mountain division) 360 Sprint Cars will meet to clash two times this year. This year will also include another big Late Model show, as the National Championship Racing Association Late Models will make their first appearance in North Platte, joined by the popular Colorado Late Model Association Late Models that put on a big show last year. The second annual "Run For the Money" is also in the works for the three IMCA classes during the June Tuesday show. The Lincoln County Ag Society will promote the ninth annual Sandhills Shoot on July 20 - 21. Details on that race will come later.

Ticket prices for regular shows will be $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for children 6 - 12, and free for children under 6. During the four specials planned by Riverside Motorsports, tickets will be $12.00 for adults, $6.00 for children 6 - 12, and free for children under 6. Pit passes are $20.00. The gates will open this year at 5 PM CDT, with the races starting at 7 PM CDT. The 2007 race dates will be as follows:
