Five NAPA Night bonus races remain for IMCA Sunoco Hobby
Stocks
OMAHA, Neb. (June 27) – Bonuses totaling $1,250 remain to be awarded at five
designated NAPA Auto Parts Night at the Races events for IMCA Sunoco Hobby
Stocks in Nebraska.
Feature winners earn an extra $250 on July 3 at Culbertson Speedway; July 7 at
Beatrice Speedway; July 14 at Eagle Raceway; July 22 at Dawson County Raceway in
Lexington; and Aug. 17 at The Speed Bowl in Red Cloud.
“The NAPA program has really caught its stride recently after battling rainouts
for the first couple of events,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “I
encourage all IMCA Hobby Stock drivers in Nebraska and Kansas to mark their
calendars for the remaining NAPA Night at the Races promotions and the chance to
race for bonus cash from NAPA Auto Parts.”
Winners of the first three NAPA Night races were Aaron Koch, on May 18 at McCook
Speedway; Andy Gregg, on June 2 at Mid-Nebraska Speedway; and Derek Thiem on
June 8 at Lincoln County Raceway.
NAPA will also sponsor the $500 to win, minimum $100 to start Hobby Stock Race
of Champions at the Nebraska State Fair Championships in Lincoln on Aug. 31.
The top two drivers in point standings at each sanctioned track in the state are
eligible to compete in the Race of Champions.
