Cool McCool 100 at Junction Motor Speedway, McCool Junction, NE

McCOOL JUNCTION, NE (Oct 6) -  There’s something for everyone at the Cool McCool 100 at Junction Motor Speedway, McCool Junction, NE on October 13 and 14th, 2007. The Modifieds, Stock Cars, and Hobby Stock classes will be competing both days with the Open Cruisers competing on Saturday and 4 cylinders front wheel drives will compete on Sunday. Racing starts at 5:00 on Saturday and 3:00 on Sunday. The Community of McCool will also be helping out with various tasks at the track.

York heating and Air Conditioning will raise the temperatures at the Cool McCool 100! They are bringing you day one of the Cool McCool on Saturday and will have Fireplaces, Corn Stoves, and Wood burning Stoves at the grandstands and in the pits fired up and ready for you to inspect. Please come and join the staff of York heating and Air Conditioning as they get fired for the Cool McCool.

Also on Saturday, JMS will have on display some downhill soapbox derby racers which were represented at YorkFest a few weeks. This static soapbox derby display is a way to assist in the promotion of the YorkFest 2008 races on the streets of York.

On Sunday, the ‘Run what you Brung’ Pinewood Derby will be taking place under the Grandstands. Pinewood qualifying will take place on the JMS Pinewood Derby Track during the heat races of the McCool 100 and finals will be run during intermission of the McCool 100. Cub Scouts wear your uniform and you will get in free if you bring in your derby car and race it. Three Divisions include; Ages 1 to 12, Ages 13 to 17 and Ages 18 and older. Dust off your Derby Car and come race with us. No Rules and No weight limits.

Cars and Coats for Kids will be held again this year, but in conjunction with the Cool McCool. Items will be accepted both days from 2:00 PM at the track Gift Shop. Bring any new or good used toys and/or winter items for kids thru adults to donate. We will also be gathering non perishable food items and paper goods for the York County Food Pantry. You do not have to attend the races to donate. The Rock'n Racers Kids Club will be helping with the donations. Donated items will be distributed by the York Blue Valley.

OPEN Cruisers-$100.00 to win….No OPEN Cruiser entry fees. OPEN Cruisers will compete on Saturday only. All safety rules apply. Added money to purse, $200 to win. Check website for details.

Grandstand opens at 3:00 PM
Racing starts at 5:00 PM
Pit Pass: $25.00
Grandstand: Adults $10.00, Ages 6-12 $4.00, Ages 5 & below are admitted Free.

Day #2 - Sunday-October 14th.
Last Chance qualifying heats, plus (4) 25 lap ‘A’ Mains thus the ‘McCool 100’.
Stock Cars-25 laps. $1,250.00 to win
Hobby Stocks-20 laps. $1,000.00 to win
Modifieds-30 laps. $2,500.00 to win.
Short Track four cylinder, front drives. 25 laps. $100.00 to win. No short track entry fees. Four Cylinders, Front Drives will compete Sunday only on the 1/5 mile short track. All safety rules apply.
