Shryock Pockets Jackson County 2 Grand

MAQUAOKETA, Ia (April 22, 2006) - After taking home the big Money Friday night at Davenport Speedway, Kelly Shryock traveled north to Maquoketa, Ia for the second part of athe Midwest Outlaw Modified Challenge at Jackson County Speedway.

After winning his heat race Shryock's draw the fifty lap feature wasn't that good as he drew number twelve starting spot. John Bull used his pole starting spot to take the lead on the drop of the green, with Ray Cox Jr taking over on lap eleven. At lap fifteen a series of cautions flew and the restart saw Bull and Shryock starting side by side in the front row. Shryock edged out front and stayed there for the remainder of the race to take the win.

The final ten laps saw Jeff Morris mount a challenge, but he had to settle for second with Bob Dominacki third, Daron Oberbroeckling fourth and Bull fifth.

After winning the 4 stock third heat Dustin Kay came back ato lead athe feature flag to flag for the win. Second heat winner, Harry Rogers was second with Dan Mohr third, and John Campbell fourth with Brannon Bechen taking ffth.

Mark Winkel used his pole starting spot to lead athe Hobby Stock feature flag to flag and put his Ford in victory lane over heat winner, Jeff Specht's second, Sheldon Hunters third, Matt Wilson;s fourth and Wayne Hora's fifth.

B Modified first heat winner, Keith Feller took the lead of the feature and held it through a sries of ninth through eleventh lap cautions, but couldn't hold off Mitch Morris. Sixteen year old Morris got by on the white flag lap and went on for the victory. Feller held on for second with Brandon Vorbeck third, Jeff Baker Sr. forth and BJ Jackson fifth.

Mike Driscoll won the Street Stock heat race then came back to lead the feature all the way to take the win over Jon Poll, Donovan Lodge, Luke Miller and Shane Oberbreckling, in that order.
