Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Set for Debut at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway on August 8

DUBUQUE, IA (Aug.05, 2006) - The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will make its first ever visit to the Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway in Dubuque, IA on Tuesday Night, August 8. The 3/8ths mile high banked clay oval will play host to a complete show for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series with Comp Cams Time Trials, PBM Performance Products Heat Races, Mason Racin' Rebel Shock Dyno and Penske Shocks B-Mains and the 50 lap $10,000 to win and $700 to start main event. The event at Dubuque is presented by J.P. Scherrman, Inc. Bobcat of Waterloo.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series has completed 24 events so far in 2006 with 14 different drivers earning victories. Earl Pearson, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL is still on top of the championship points standings heading into the Dubuque event on Tuesday Night. Don O'Neal of Martinsville, IN is second in points followed by Donnie Moran of Dresden, OH, Matt Miller of Waterville, OH and Scott James of Lawrenceburg, IN.

Steve Casebolt of Richmond, IN leads the next five in points and he is also the top man in the "Rookie of the Year" chase. Behind Casebolt are Freddy Smith of Seymour, TN, Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, TN, Michael England of Glasgow, KY and Darren Miller of Chadwick, IL the series' most recent winner at Cedar Lake on August 3.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway on August 8 will see the pit gates opening at 4pm with the front gates opening at 5 pm. There will be a drivers meeting at 6pm with hot laps to start at 6:30 pm. Pit Passes are $35 with Adult Front Gate General Admission Tickets priced at $25 per person, with seniors at $20 per ticket and students ages 13-20 at $20. Children age 12 and under are admitted for free with a paying adult.

The Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway is located 5 miles west of Dubuque on US 20, then 1.3 miles NW (towards Centralia) on Old Highway Road.
