Outlaw Modified Opens Canceled

MAQUOKETA, IA (April 12, 2007) - DRT TRAK Racing Inc., promoters of both the Davenport Speedway and Jackson County Speedway have canceled this weekend's racing programs due to wet track conditions and inclement weather.

The Kriegers of DeWitt Outlaw Modified Open, a pair of $2,000-to-win modified specials was set to kick-off the 2007 season. DRT TRAK Racing is looking at rescheduling these events later in the season, but no decision has been made as yet.

Both tracks will host an IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series Late Model race next weekend (April 20 & 21). Friday at Davenport Speedway and Saturday at Jackson County Speedway in Maquoketa. . Modifieds, Street Stocks, and B-Mods will race at both events as well.

Stock car racing action begins at 6:30pm every Friday night at the Davenport Speedway, located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds. The Jackson County Speedway races at 6:00pm, Saturday nights in Maquoketa.
