TMC RACING’S MICHAEL ANNETT A HOMETOWN FAVORITE FOR UPCOMING ASA CHALLENGE VISIT TO IOWA SPEEDWAY
Contact: Michelle Petroff, TMC Racing

DES MOINES, IA (May 16, 2007) – Hawkeye native Michael Annett has carried the support of his TMC Transportation employees and guests to other stops on the 2007 ASA Late Model Series’ Challenge Division tour but this weekend’s event at Iowa Speedway is of special importance. Annett, 20, from nearby Des Moines, made his series’ debut last year at Iowa and earned an impressive third place finish and enjoys coming home to the Rusty Wallace Signature Track. But approximately one thousand supporters of Annett and his #12 TMC Transportation/Northland Oil/Benson International/Allstate Peterbilt/Pilot Travel Centers/Marmon Highway Technologies Ford Fusion team will be in the stands.

“This weekend’s race is probably the most exciting event on the tour for me,” commented Annett. “Not only do I like the track since it provides great racing but competing at home is unique – I’m looking forward to so many people coming out to watch and several of our sponsors will be there also, but the best part of the whole weekend is the race benefits a great children’s charity - the Make-A-Wish Foundation – and the presenting sponsors are TMC Transportation and Northland Oil. I know the crew and I would like nothing more to put this car in Victory Lane for both of them at their race since their support has been instrumental in our success.”

Iowa is a state full of short-track racing fans and Annett is looking forward to racing in front of his enthusiastic supporters. “We have had a consistent season but are striving for top five finished each race," summed the young Iowa driver.”

Hopefully the energy from the hometown crowd packed with employees and representatives from TMC Transportation, Northland Oil, Benson International and Pilot Travel Centers will help invigorate the team’s performance. The #12 Black & Gold Ford team will take to the track for the Challenge Division’s “Make-A-Wish 150 Presented by TMC Transportation and Northland Oil” on Friday-Saturday, May 18-19, 2007, at Rusty Wallace’s Iowa Speedway in Newton, IA.
