OSKALOOSA WASHED OUT FOR MAY 30; MONSTER TRUCKS THIS FRIDAY

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (May 30) - A downpour around 6:00 Wednesday night forced officials from RL Promotions to pull the plug on Wednesday night’s events at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Two big events are on tap at the Mahaska County Half-Mile Monster during the next week.

This Friday, June 1, the Outlaw Monster Truck Spectacular presented by Arnold Motor Supply will invade the Southern Iowa Speedway for the biggest Monster Truck show Osky has ever seen. Featuring the world famous “Bear Foot” just like you see on TV, the new “General” direct from the Dukes of Hazard movie, plus “Red Cactus Crusher,” “Wildman” and more. These are the Bad Boys flying 40 feet in the air, crushing cars and vans! Plus, locals will entertain the crowd with Bar Stool Races.

The first 500 kids get a free Toy Monster Truck! Come early and ride in a real Monster Truck!

Advance tickets get a free Pit Party pass to meet the drivers. Advance tickets are available at the Southern Iowa Fair office or by calling 515-832-6000. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with a Pit Party. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. Rain or shine, this Friday the Southern Iowa Speedway will rock!

Next Wednesday, June 6, Mike’s Tire & Alignment presents the O’Reilly USMTS Modifieds plus USRA Casey’s General Stores Weekly Racing Series featuring USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks. Grandstand gates opens at 5:30 p.m., with hot laps at 7:15 and racing at 7:30.
