14TH ANNUAL GREINER BUILDINGS STOCK CAR SHOOTOUT SET FOR JULY 4 AT OSKLAOOSA

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (June 26) - There will be fireworks in the air and on the track at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa, on the Fourth of July as the 14th Annual Greiner Buildings Stock Car Shootout presented by Mike’s Tire & Alignment and PBM Performance Products takes place at the Mahaska County Half-Mile Monster.

USRA Stock Car drivers will be battling for a whopping $2,000 to win and $100 to start the evening's main event. Also on the card will be USRA B-Mods ($200 to win) and USRA Hobby Stocks ($500 to win).

Drivers will draw for heat races and redraw for feature starting position. Twenty-four cars will start the main event. Tow money will be paid to all drivers failing to qualify.

A USRA license is not required for this race, but USRA-licensed competitors will be awarded USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series national points. Also, there will be no track registration fees for new drivers.

Entry fee will be $40 for Stock Cars and $20 for Hobby Stocks if post-marked by July 1. At the track, Stock Cars are $75 and Hobby Stocks are $50. There will be no refunds given to drivers who pre-enter but fail to attend this event. Tow will be $60 for Stock Cars and $40 for Hobby Stocks.

A huge fireworks show provided by the City of Oskaloosa will take place after the races. Note: All people in the pits will have to move out the trucks and trailers after the races for the fireworks display.



RULES:

Hobby Stocks: 9:1 360-cubic-inch limit; No weight rule.

Stock Cars: Roller rockers allowed (no roller cams); Two-barrel carburetor allowed (Rochester, Motorcraft or untouched Holley 4412); Grooving and/or siping of tires allowed; American Racer KK704 or G60 tire, stamped or non-stamped (must be asphalt) recommended. Hoosier G60 tires also allowed.

B-Mods: Weekly track or Sportsmod rules.
